Since moving to London, one of the things I’ve missed most is having my family dog around. Looking after your dogs gives me a lovely chance to spend time with dogs again while giving you peace of mind that they’re being cared for by someone who really loves being around them. I know how much dogs are part of the family, and I’ll make sure yours receives plenty of attention, affection and care while you’re away. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have grown up with dogs of all different sizes, breeds and personalities. Because of this, I’m very comfortable caring for a wide range of dogs and I enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique character and routine. For two years, I volunteered at a retired greyhound rehoming kennel, where I helped care for them while they waited to find their forever homes. It was incredibly rewarding and gave me valuable hands-on experience working with dogs of different ages, temperaments and backgrounds, helping them feel safe and comfortable. After spending so much time with the dogs, my family ended up rehoming 2 retired racers of our own, so I know how important it is to help rescue dogs settle into home life and become much-loved family pets. I’ve also spent several years walking dogs in my local area, which helped me build confidence handling a variety of breeds and personalities. During this time, one family’s dogs had a litter of puppies which I helped care for before they found homes, giving me the knowledge of the extra care and attention young dogs need.
