Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I provide in-home care only, so your pets stay in the environment they know best no boarding, no unfamiliar animals, and no added stress. As a former veterinary technician, I’m attentive to safety, health, and behavior changes, and I follow all care instructions carefully. I respect your home, maintain a clean and secure environment, and communicate clearly so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is to give you peace of mind while your pets enjoy calm, consistent care in their own space.

Information Hannah G. would like to know about your pet

I believe great care starts with good communication. I always ask pet parents to share any special needs, medications, medical conditions, or daily routines ahead of time so I can keep your pet comfortable, safe, and stress-free. Whether it’s meds, mobility support, anxiety triggers, or just a very specific feeding schedule, I’m happy to follow your instructions closely and care for your pet exactly the way you do.

A typical day

A typical day with your pets starts with checking in on everyone’s mood, appetite, and routines because no two animals start their day the same way. Morning visits usually include feeding, fresh water, potty breaks or turnout, and any medications that are due. I take my time making sure each pet is comfortable and settled, especially seniors, anxious pets, or those with special medical needs. Throughout the day, I focus on enrichment and connection. For dogs, that might mean walks, playtime, training reinforcement, or quiet companionship depending on their energy level. Cats get a mix of play, gentle affection, and respect for their boundaries (I let them decide when I’ve earned cuddle privileges). Birds and reptiles receive careful husbandry, habitat checks, and routine care, while farm and large animals get attentive feeding, health checks, and calm, confident handling. Because of my veterinary background, I’m always observing for subtle changes energy level, appetite, posture, or behavior and I act quickly if something seems off. Medications are given on schedule, whether oral or injectable, with patience and low-stress handling. In between care tasks, there’s plenty of time for reassurance, talking to them like old friends, and making sure they feel safe and secure. The day wraps up with evening feedings, final potty breaks, medication checks, and a calm wind down so everyone can settle in comfortably for the night. My goal every day is simple: to keep your pets happy, safe, and cared for in a way that feels as close to their normal routine and as full of compassion as possible.

Pet care experience

I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 10 years of veterinary medicine experience, which means I’ve seen it all from dramatic dogs convinced a stubbed toe is the end of the world, to cats who are definitely judging me. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, large animals, farm animals, birds, and reptiles, and I genuinely love getting to know each animal’s unique personality (yes, even the grumpy ones). I’m Animal CPR and First Aid certified and very comfortable caring for special needs pets. I have extensive experience administering medications, including oral meds and injections, and I understand how important patience, gentleness, and trust are especially for pets who are anxious, elderly, or medically complex. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and emotional well-being always come first. Because of my veterinary background, I’m trained to notice subtle changes in behavior or health and respond quickly if something feels “off.” I treat every animal as if they were my own which means respecting routines, moving at their pace, and offering plenty of love (or respectful distance for those who prefer their personal space). My goal is to give you peace of mind and make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

Hannah did a fantastic job taking care of our Boston Terrier and our house (and plants!) while we were gone for two weeks. She kept us informed everyday. He gets very anxious on walks, but she even got him out for a couple walks and gave us some tips on how to make walks more enjoyable for him. We would definitely recommend Hannah!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for my husky. She is incredibly attentive, patient, and loving, which is so important for a high-energy, vocal breed like mine. She made sure he got plenty of enrichment, kept up with his routine, and gave him lots of affection and attention. I always felt at ease knowing he was in such good hands, and it was clear he was happy and comfortable with her. She keeps me updated and treats him like he is her own. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter—especially for huskies!

Hannah is a very reliable caring person. She not only let my dogs out but sat with them to let them stay out for a while. She took care of them with the same love I do and I didnt have to worry about them for a second in her hands. I trust her very much, you can too.
