I am currently based in Austin for the summer. While I do have a few trips planned and may be out of town occasionally, I have very few regular commitments throughout the week, which gives me a highly flexible schedule. I am available most days and at a wide range of times, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so dog walking fits naturally into my routine. I am dependable, responsive, and happy to work with pet owners to accommodate their scheduling needs whenever possible.

When caring for pets in a client's home, I’ll do my best to make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and stick to their normal routine. I'll make sure they're fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of attention, and get the exercise and playtime they need. I love spending time outside with dogs, whether that's playing fetch, running around, going on walks, or just keeping them company. I'm happy to follow any instructions specific to your pet's needs and routine. If needed, I can crate your dog before I leave, make sure they've settled after meals before playing, and keep an eye on their overall comfort and well-being. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I always treat them with the same care and attention I'd want for my own.

What sets me apart is that caring for dogs has been a part of my everyday life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with three dogs and was responsible for feeding them every morning and night, walking them daily, and helping care for them as they got older. Through that experience, I've become comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I've also helped families in my neighborhood with their pets by walking, feeding, brushing, and stopping by to let them out when needed. As my own dogs entered their senior years, I gained experience giving medication and learned how important patience and a slower pace can be for older dogs. In addition, I've volunteered with Austin Pets Alive!, where I spent time walking shelter dogs and giving them attention and companionship. Those experiences have made me confident, dependable, and attentive to each dog's individual needs. Most importantly, I genuinely love being around dogs and enjoy making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away.

Ruthie has been walking my dogs, Teddy and Wilma, for the past year now and she has done a great job accommodating both of them! She lives in my neighborhood and always shows up on schedule. Wilma is partially blind and Ruthie has done very good in giving her the proper attention during walks while ensuring that my other dog does not get jealous. She has been a great dog walker and I couldn’t recommend her more to others.
