Home Away From Home in the Country

I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember—literally, I was born on National Puppy Day. Friends and family know me as “the dog girl,” and dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I spend a lot of my time researching behavior, breeds, care, and handling, and I’m usually the youngest person in the room at dog-related events. I don’t just board dogs or provide daycare—I pay attention to the way they communicate and respond to their environment. I notice the small things, like when they’re becoming overstimulated, when they need space, or when they’re looking for more engagement. That awareness helps me adjust in real time so pets feel understood instead of simply managed. Working hands-on in a grooming environment has taught me a lot about reading body language, handling nervous or sensitive dogs, and staying calm and patient in stressful moments. I focus on making pets feel comfortable, secure, and mentally fulfilled during their time with me—not just physically tired. Whether it’s supervised playtime, outdoor time, or a quiet moment to decompress, I match each pet’s pace and personality instead of forcing my own routine onto them. I value consistency, trust, and clear communication, and I take the time to build a genuine connection with the pets I care for.

Hannah took amazing care of my dog yet again and made the whole experience stress-free. She kept up with walks, spent quality time playing with her, and made sure she felt comfortable and cared for. Communication was excellent the entire time. Hannah sent updates and pictures, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I could tell my dog was happy and well looked after. I would definitely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

I’m so happy to recommend my granddaughter as a pet sitter. She has always had a natural connection with animals and treats every pet with kindness, patience and genuine care. She’s very responsible, attentive and makes sure pet feel safe and comfortable I’ve seen firsthand how gentle and loving she is , whether it’s going on walks, feeding, or just giving them attention. Any pet in her care will be well looked after and truly cared for like family

Schedule

Pet care is already a natural part of my everyday routine. As a dog owner, my days naturally include outdoor adventures, feeding schedules, one-on-one attention, and making sure my own dog is happy and well cared for. I’ve spent a lot of time around dogs with different personalities and energy levels, which has helped me become comfortable adapting to what each one needs. Some dogs need extra activity, some need patience and reassurance, and some just need consistency. Because caring for dogs is something I genuinely prioritize in my daily life, I’m able to give consistent attention and thoughtful care rather than treating it like just another task.

Safety, trust & environment

When dogs stay in my home, they become part of the household and get to enjoy a comfortable, relaxed environment. My property offers plenty of room to roam and explore, giving dogs a chance to experience the woods, open spaces, and everything that comes with being out in the country. They can spend time outside, play, explore, or settle in indoors depending on what suits them best. I keep their safety a priority while allowing them to enjoy a change of scenery and a little more freedom than they might get at home. My goal is to create a stay that feels welcoming and enjoyable, giving each dog a chance to relax and have their own little country getaway while you’re away.

A typical day

I love giving dogs plenty of ways to have fun and enjoy their stay. We can go on outdoor adventures around my property, explore the woods, play fetch or other games they enjoy, and take part in enrichment activities. There’s plenty of space to sniff, explore, and experience the outdoors, while my large home gives them room to relax comfortably when they’d rather stay inside. For senior dogs, lower-energy pups, or during colder weather, we can focus more on indoor enrichment, gentle activities, and plenty of downtime. I like giving each dog a fun mix of activity, exploration, and relaxation based on what they enjoy.

Before your dog’s stay, I like to know the basics that will help me give them the best experience possible. Please let me know about their age, activity level, house-training, feeding routine, and any medications, allergies, or special needs. Since dogs staying with me will be around my own dog and may enjoy time exploring my property, I also ask that they be up to date on their vaccinations and protected against fleas and ticks. It’s helpful to know how they do around other dogs and people, whether they have any fears or triggers, and how comfortable they are in new environments. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can prepare for their stay and make sure they’re comfortable and safe.
