What sets me apart in the world of pet sitting and walking is not just a profession to me but a passion deeply rooted in a lifetime of love for animals. Having cared for my two dogs (both of whom have now passed away- Kobe & Randy) and three cats (Marley who has passed away, Roo & Cleo), coupled with extensive experience as dog sitter in my neighborhood and my extended families furry friends! I bring a deep understanding and empathy to every furry friend under my watch. My commitment to providing the best possible experience for pets has been acknowledged from families I have helped as well as my friends who see how much I care for my own pets! I also have been a fully time doggy aunt to my sister's recent addition—a Bernese mountain puppy that I I've treated as my own, ensuring her daily needs are met while my sister works at the office, as I work remotely and can watch her 5 days a week. I love to take her on walks, play soccer with her, and give her lots of cuddles and baths. My current job offers exceptional flexibility, so I can invest extra time in building meaningful connections with each pet I get the pleasure to meet and help, ensuring their well-being and happiness are prioritized in every playdate we spend together!

In both my home and my client's home, I prioritize creating a comfortable and loving environment for pets. I like to get to know the owner and the animals to know what works best for them and their needs. When caring for them in my own space, I ensure a designated area with their familiar toys, cozy bedding, and all the essentials. Regular walks on safety, comfortable leashes as well as unleashed if the pet can handle the freedom. I make time for playtime each day and always have time for cuddles. I also follow feeding schedules because it is very important for the animals well being. In my house, I have learned that my cats are very intuitive eaters and so I leave food out through out the day for when they are hungry. However, with dogs I follow their vets recommendations for how often and how much food to give. In a client's home, I aim to replicate the routine and surroundings to minimize stress on the owner and the animal. I am comfortable with walks and playtimes. I am also comfortable with crating an animal after a visit if this is routine for the client's household when no one is with the pet. Open communication with pet owners is key to understanding specific needs, preferences, and any special instructions that I write down and follow. My commitment extends beyond basic care to building genuine connections with each pet, fostering a sense of security and happiness during my time with them.

I was going to visit my cousin Irv in Galena a few weeks back and my neighbor suggest Hannah to look after my two dogs. I was nervous first but after talking with her on the phone, it became apparent that she really has a heart for animals. Well, I am happy to report that everything went extremely well. Snips and Snaps (my two Yorkies) still ask about her. Look forward to using her again when I make the trip to visit my friend Nell in April. Thanks, Hannah!
Hannah was a great choice to have walk our puppy, she showed up on time and followed our schedule for walking, feeding and playtime. Highly recommend her for anyone looking to have their dog watched for any period of time.
Hannah takes cares of my 1 year old Bernese Mountain Dog while I am in the office. She takes her for walks around town, lets her out for quick trips if needed, and will even brush her out. She is super comfortable with both large and small dogs, as she has been around my dog since she was a puppy, and is now 100 lbs. Hannah treats my dog like she’s her own dog. **bonus** she even cleans up the dog poop in my yard if I ask her to.
