A home away from home
We’ve always loved being around dogs and understand how important it is to know they’re in safe hands while you’re away. We’ve regularly looked after a dog for our family, so we have experience with feeding, walks, playtime, sticking to routines, and making sure dogs feel happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We’re based in the heart of the beautiful Peak District in Buxton, surrounded by fantastic dog-friendly walks and open spaces. As locals, we know the area well and can provide plenty of safe, enjoyable exercise and enrichment to suit your dog’s needs. Whether your dog is a playful puppy, an active adult, or a senior who prefers a gentler pace, we’ll follow their usual routine to help them feel settled. We’re happy to provide regular photo and video updates, and above all, we’ll treat your dog with the same love, patience, and care as if they were our own.

Hannah and Chris were very friendly and was very helpful to accept last minute booking as being let down by the previous one we contacted in this site too. They sent pictures and updates and responds to messages to update us of our fur baby wellbeing. We highly recommend them as they are reliable and very prompt to respond to any queries. Again a big thank you for you both for looking after our fur baby missy. This is our first time use rover as well and not so sure about it and being let down on the first booking we had made me a bit weary to use it but I'm glad still I decided to give it another go and meet this two lovely couple and our little fury zoomie monster enjoyed her stay over to them and she was looked after well.
Hannah and Chris looked after our dog whilst we were away for a week. They were quick to respond to the initial enquiry and super accommodating throughout. They sent pictures, updates and made dillon feel comfortable and at home. Dillon came back clean and happy and we would definitely use them again! Thank you 🥰 🐶 🐾
Hannah and Chris were fantastic with my dog Gus - he's not a fan of other dogs and were very mindful of this, he clearly bonded with them both and had a lot of fun! Hannah and Chris were also happy to keep me updated, which is always reassuring! Thanks again and I'll definitely be using their services again!
Hannah and Chris are both amazing people who will do anything for anyone. They put love and passion in to all the work they do both individually and together. They both love animals and will take the best care of any pet that they will looks after. Lots of love and cuddles will be had! Any animal in the care of Hannah and Chris will be in great company and have lots of fun!

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into our daily and weekly routine. We have a flexible schedule that means at least one of us is home for most of the day, so your pet can enjoy plenty of attention, companionship, regular walks and playtime. We love creating a calm, consistent environment where pets can settle in at their own pace and feel comfortable in our home. Caring for animals has become a natural part of our everyday life, and we’re committed to making every pet feel like part of the family while they’re staying with us.

Our home offers a calm, quiet and welcoming environment with no children, creating a peaceful space where pets can relax, settle in and feel completely at ease. We also don’t have any pets of our own, so your pet will have our full attention and be our number one priority throughout their stay. We’re lucky to live in the heart of Buxton, surrounded by beautiful open spaces, countryside and peaceful walking routes, giving pets plenty of opportunities for fresh air, exercise and enrichment. Most importantly, we want every pet to feel at home while they’re with us. We treat every dog as part of the family, taking the time to understand their individual personality, routine and needs so they feel safe, comfortable and loved from the moment they arrive until it’s time to go home.
A typical day
Every day is a little different depending on the pet staying with us, but we always aim to keep their usual routine as familiar and comfortable as possible. Mornings usually start with breakfast, fresh water and some attention before heading out for a good walk and plenty of time to explore and sniff. Once we’re home, there’s time to relax, nap and enjoy some company, with playtime or mental stimulation throughout the day. We’ll usually have another walk or outdoor adventure later in the day, making the most of the beautiful countryside and walking routes around Buxton. Evenings are kept calm and cosy, with dinner, cuddles and plenty of relaxation. We’re also happy to follow individual feeding times, walking routines, medication needs and any other preferences your pet has. Our priority is making their day feel as normal and enjoyable as possible, with lots of love, attention and companionship along the way.

- Before your pet stays with us, we’d love to know as much as possible about their usual routine, personality and individual needs. This helps us make sure they feel comfortable and settled from the moment they arrive. Please let us know about their feeding and walking routine, sleeping arrangements, likes and dislikes, behaviour around other dogs or people, and anything that may make them nervous or uncomfortable. We’re also happy to accommodate any medication, dietary requirements or other specific needs they may have. We understand that every pet is different, so the more we know beforehand, the better we can provide a safe, happy and stress-free stay that feels like home.
