Pet care experience

Pet Photographer & Senior Dog Mom

My entire life has always revolved around animals. As a lifelong equestrian, I’ve grown up taking care of horses and dogs of all shapes and sizes. Previously a barn manager, I’m now a pet & equine photographer. That means when I’m not at a horse show or photoshoot, I’m at my desk at home with my own two senior dogs curled underneath. My years in the horse world and now with senior dogs has taught me how to apply topical medication, give injections and oral meds, and how to recognize and redirect problematic behavior. Living on 15 wooded acres set back from the road means there is plenty of space for pups to run around as well as numerous off leash walking trails should your pup be up for it. Staying with me is like a country retreat for your pet - walks through the forest and sunsets and squirrel watching from the deck. If you're lucky, you might even get some professional photos out of it.

Do not wait on the chance for Hannah to love on your pup while you’re away. She did an amazing job keeping Bode company, sent lots of pictures, and loved him right up. She coordinated a pickup by someone other than us seamlessly, and was just so incredibly friendly. Bode will absolutely be back.

Hanna did an amazing job taking care of Moose while we were away. She sent great photos, spent time playing with her outside, and made sure Moose got plenty of exercise. Communication was excellent, and it was clear Moose was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We had complete peace of mind and would absolutely book with Hanna again. Highly recommend!

Hannah was INCREDIBLE. So glad we found her to watch our special Floki. I am extremely picky about who I choose to have watch my dog, and I couldn’t be happier with Hannah. She sent so many updates and beautiful pictures/videos of our boy. I could tell he had such a blast with her and her dogs. They went on many trail walks, and she even sent me videos of him opening his Christmas gifts we wrapped for him. We will definitely be contacting Hannah next time we go on a trip without Floki.

Hannah was amazing with my senior dog, and she did not seem to mind my dog’s Velcro tendencies. :) Her property is beautiful with plenty of space for dogs to explore. Her dogs and cats are very friendly with other dogs, and I think they helped put my dog, who can be apprehensive in new places, at ease. My dog loved her stay with Hannah, and I know she will be excited to return for another vacation!

Hannah has been caring for all sorts of animals her whole life. She now has two of her own dogs and they are some of the happiest animals ever. Hannah is such a great animal caregiver. She is home often and won’t leave your dogs to sit in a cage all day. I would have her take care of my dogs any day and know they would have a great time away from home!

Schedule

As a self-employed pet photographer, I work from home when I’m not at a horse show or photo shoot. This gives me lots of flexibility day to day and during the day.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in an apartment
Has an unfenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 2 dogs
No children present
Dogs not allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I like to let dogs approach me as they feel comfortable and understand that dogs are capable of a wide range of personalities. My number one priority is that everyone feels safe and has their needs met. In my home, well behaved and responsive dogs may be allowed off-leash outside as we have plenty of space far from the nearest road. Dogs that can’t be trusted off leash will enjoy wooded walks around the property or nearby dog-friendly trails.

Pets

A typical day

I love taking dogs on walks to explore new parks and hiking trails, tailoring the adventures to the physical abilities of each dog. At home, I’ll provide mental and physical stimulation through games and play with myself and with my two dogs as appropriate.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs or dietary restrictions, and what makes them the most comfortable. I want all dogs to receive the same kind of care or better than they get at home for an stress-free stay away from their family.
