Pet care experience

Cats, dogs or homes; I sit them all

I consider myself so lucky to have been using this app to run my small business for the last three years. My roommates encouraged me to foster my love for dogs through dog-sitting and use my passion for good. One day I hope to channel all my energy into a dog of my own, but until then I am just happy to help out my community and care for my kitten! Throughout my years of caring for dogs, I have been able to learn about and practice the following unique skills: oral medication delivery, basic training (loose leash practice, recall, gentle, etc). I enjoy taking dogs for long walks, car rides, out to ice cream, etc. Essentially I’ll treat your dog like a best friend for the duration of my services!

Hannah is fantastic with my energetic 1-year old Doberman. She is a great communicator and would recommend her without hesitation!

Schedule

I’m a full time Social Worker with flexible hours, typically switching between work from home and services in the community. My typical dog sitting routine would include early morning walks, mid afternoon walks, dinner and evening walks. When the weather is warm you can expect us to go on walks roughly 20 mins each. If it’s during the winter months, I prefer to ask individual pet owners what each dog can handle.

Safety, trust & environment

Located in the Park Ave village, I am able to take dogs on walks, bring dogs to the ice cream shop, or hang out in your home! I am keeping pets out of my own personal home at this time so I can get my cat comfortable in our new place with an older cat present, as well. In your home, you can expect me to leave it just as I found it. I bring my own food (or order out on occasion) and ensure the house is vacuumed and the sheets are stripped and in the washer before you return home. I know when I return from a trip I like to have a few chores as possible, so I leave the house with you in mind! I am happy to negotiate price to include more house chores for anyone interested. No matter the service, your dog will be walked for 20-30 minutes each time. Three to four times a day depending on weather and owners’ preferences. Each dog has their unique style of play, and I am always happy to engage in play after a walk!!

A typical day

I understand the importance of physical as well as mental stimulation. I love to do quick training sessions with dogs, especially if you have a puppy. Another way I’ll kill time with your dog is often to take them on a car ride and enjoy a new coffee shop or farmers market.

I prefer to know if your dog is typically reactive to children or other dogs - I will adjust where and when I walk the dog. If you have a cat, I like to know ahead of time if they try to escape through the door ever (my kitten will run blindly out any open door the second she gets a chance!). My main goal is to keep everyone safe and happy!
