Pet care experience

24/7 animal lover & farm girl

Veteran family. Twin mom. Mom of four. Volunteer. Previous animal foster. Small business owner. Mini farm owner. Dog owners and dogs will love that I provide the best care, attention, and affection I can give because I worked in a doggy daycare / boarding facility by day, have fostered over 20 dogs/cats for a local rescue, and volunteered for the rescue. I am always quick and eager to help someone in need with their pets or direct them to an available resource. I run a full functioning farm. I am experienced with birds - specifically guinea fowl, turkeys, chickens, ducks, geese and peacocks; sheep, rabbits, equine and goats. We have dogs, cats, a pony, a donkey, goats, and many different birds. I started a career/full-time volunteering about 9 years ago. I love all animals and have a fairly flexible schedule but do have a full time job, where I make my own meetings, and homeschool my children. I have always been drawn to caring for animals. I want to take some of the stress off of pet owners who work and make sure their fur babies get the attention they need and release all of their pent up energy by going on walks and/or playing at the park for drop ins and walks. I know what it's like to worry about pet care and proper care, given that I have a farm and animals of my own. I can administer medications orally, as well as insulin for diabetic pets. I also have helped in physical therapy post slipped disc surgery in the dog's home. Our go-to vet is West Central Vet Services of Greencastle.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

We always recommend leashes, harnesses, baby gates and fences, even sometimes crating. If a dog is a flight risk, we will utilize leashes, as well as harnesses. We ask that the pet parent provide their pet’s food and we can provide the bowls, blankets, and any other items needed for their stay.

Responds quickly and excellent communication. She is very reliable and I don’t worry about my pet while I’m away. I’ve used her dozens of times.

Hannah is amazing. She is great with communication. Walks Nessie till she is tired. In fact I think Nessie secretly loves her more 🤣.

Schedule

We do NOT offer boarding nor daycare services* I do pet care around the clock, from before sun up to after sundown. Cleaning is around the clock. I utilize a calendar system in increments of 30 min blocks. I do recommend a flexible window of 30 minutes in each direction due to potential travel setbacks and delays*

I would like to know about a dog's: Feeding schedule? Leash trained? Housetrained? Dog reactive? Good with kids? I do not have any breed preferences. I love all breeds. German Shepherds and Dobermans are my favorite. I personally, have a Miniature Pinscher, Alaskan Malamute and Australian cattle dogs. I will not take any dogs in heat. I am okay with handling unaltered pets, as long as they are not destructive, territorial, or going to cause a fight on a walk. I have broken up dog fights before, but I would like to protect your fur baby, and myself, at all costs.
