As an elementary school teacher, I have a very flexible schedule during the summer, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care. Whether your dog needs a walk, a drop-in visit, or some extra attention while you're away, I'm happy to work with your schedule. I do have a young child, so I ask for at least a day's notice whenever possible to arrange childcare. With that notice, I'm able to be flexible and reliable for your pet's needs. I believe in being punctual, providing the care you request, and sending updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away.

I provide care in your pet's home where they're most comfortable and can stick to their normal routine. I'll carefully follow your instructions, whether that includes feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, or simply giving your pet companionship and plenty of love and attention. During walks, your dog's safety is always my top priority. I'll keep them securely leashed, pay close attention to our surroundings, and make sure they get the exercise and enrichment they need. After each visit, I'll send you updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and have peace of mind while you're away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision because they're family. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and loved while making the entire experience as stress-free as possible for you.

The more I know about your pet, the better I can care for them! Before our first visit, I'd love to know about their daily routine, feeding schedule, favorite toys and activities, any medications or medical conditions, allergies, fears or anxieties, and how they interact with other people and animals. Please also let me know about any training cues or commands they know, as well as anything that helps them feel safe and comfortable. Every pet is unique, and my goal is to make them feel as happy and relaxed as possible while you're away by keeping their routine consistent and providing the care that's best for them.
A typical day
Every pet has their own idea of fun, so I like to tailor activities to their personality and energy level! Whether it's a leisurely neighborhood walk, an adventure to sniff new scents, a game of fetch, tug-of-war, or simply spending quality time getting belly rubs and cuddles, my goal is to make sure they're happy, engaged, and loved. For more active dogs, I'm happy to keep them moving with longer walks, play sessions, and mentally stimulating games. For senior dogs or pups who prefer a slower pace, I'm just as happy to spend time giving them companionship, gentle play, and plenty of attention. No matter the activity, your pet will receive lots of love, positive interaction, and care while you're away.

As a dog owner myself, I know that dogs aren't "just pets"; they're family. I also know that trusting someone else to care for them can be one of the hardest parts of being away. That's why my goal is to make the experience as stress-free as possible for both you and your pup. I've been around dogs at every stage of life, from playful puppies to senior dogs, and I've been caring for friends' and family's dogs since I was in middle school (which feels like forever ago!). I also trained my own dog to earn his AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title, giving me experience with positive reinforcement, patience, and safe handling. When your dog is with me, they'll be treated like one of my own with plenty of love, attention, playtime, and care. I want you to enjoy your time away knowing your dog is safe, happy, and spending time with their new best friend.
