Safety, trust & environment

I have a very particular system when it comes to my personal pets at home, so it is only natural for me to treat your pet the same way. All animals are worth it and are seen as equal in my eyes no matter how big or small. I put all safety and trust into every animal. It is my duty to help them, keep them safe and make sure they are well taken care of. It is important to be knowledged on the pet’s behavior in order to prepare the environment. This can refer to the household itself or the area it must be in momentarily such at vet visits or walks at the park. Considering I have very specific things I like to go by when it comes to my pets, I absolutely love and appreciate an owner who does the same. Bring it on! I am also Pet CPR Certified! And don’t worry, you’ll be receiving picture and/or video updates of your pet when I’m around!

Information Haley M. would like to know about your pet

By all means, feel free to let me know of any necessary behaviors, health concerns, diagnoses, medications, limitations, etc that your pet experiences. I’m here to accommodate myself to you and your pet’s lifestyle to ensure a comfortable setting. We can discuss specifics before confirming the scheduling. Behavior examples; please let me know if your pet can become aggressive, if your pet does not like to be touched in a certain area of the body, triggers for your pet that can make them become fearful, etc. Health examples; please let me know if your pet is on a daily medication, vitamin, or supplement. Inform me if your pet has a history of seizures, important diagnoses, mobility concerns, etc. I highly recommend keeping your pet on prevention yearround during dog walks, although it is not required. Please make sure your pet is up to date on their annual exams and vaccines. Specifically, their rabies vaccine if the pet is above 12 weeks old. I also recommend the Bordatella (Kennel Cough) vaccine for dogs who’re going on dog walks, but it is not required. Important to note that I will inform you of any medical concerns that I witness that were not brought to my attention for the safety of your pet.

A typical day

Trust and comfortability is the most important thing when meeting your dog! Every dog is different and that’s okay. Doing things throughout our day together is a great technique I love to use when building a relationship with your pet. With dogs, going on walks is an obvious, but much adored answer. Along with playing with toys outside, going for a run, doing some training exercises to stimulate the brain. Sometimes, just laying down on the couch side by side is enough to build that trust. Your pet being happy is my priority. Keeping them active and enriched is just as important! We can discuss specifics before confirming the scheduling. Please let me know of anything you think I should know! For example; activities and/or treats that your pet enjoys.

Vet Tech Assistant & Pet Sitter

Pet care experience

Animals are my passion. Any animal big or small. Dogs and cats are not just the only animals on the table for me! If you’re here for ferrets, rabbits, reptiles, fish and other small pets, I got your back! My name is Haley and I’m 26 years old. I’ve worked as a Tech Assistant at a small animal clinic with cats and dogs for over 2 years, I worked at a veterinary specialty hospital (oncology and neurology) for 8 months and I have my Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Health. To add for fun sake, I have 6 months hands-on husbandry experience with much larger animals at my local zoo! At the clinic, I have experience with administering oral and topical medication as well as SQ injections. I have experience with proper restraint and health concern monitoring and recognition. Through school, I have gained knowledge in nutritional needs, daily husbandry, training and more. I have also completed schooling to become Pet CPR Certified. Although, I haven’t owned my own dog in quite some time, I am surrounded by them daily through schooling and my career. I love every second of it! Each dog is so intelligent and with such unique personalities. I can’t wait to meet yours!

Haley did an excellent job at taking care of my dear Elton John! He was recently diagnosed with diabetes and I was nervous about leaving him for the first time. But her expertise at medication management soothed my nerves completely! She was so communicative and thorough and I highly recommend her services to anyone! Thank you so much Haley!

Haley is so amazing and so good to my girl Betty, who is generally an anxious girl. She collected a bunch of information about Betty when she met her for the first time, making me feel confident and comfortable with her taking Betty on walks while I am out of town!
