I'm currently a part-time Behavioral Therapist for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or behavioral issues. My schedule varies daily to accommodate the needs of my clients, but as a devoted pet mom, I already incorporate pet care in my every day life.

I have a large yard with a tall fence that I like to have dogs go out to play, run around, and use the restroom. For cats, I have various toys and an extra litter box handy for their needs as well. If it so happens that the animals I am watching need to split up from the others in the house, I have extra rooms that make this possible as well. I am very fortunate to live in a house that allows me to tailor my services to meet the needs of different clients. I just ask that owners let me know in advance of any special needs like this so I can have my house prepared before our furry friends' arrival!

Let me know if your pet has any specific needs or certain quarks I should be aware of before caring for your pet without you around. Pets sometimes don't act completely like their normal selves when they don't have anyone familiar around to keep them feeling safe. This is why knowing specific details about the temperament and personality of your pet can really help pet sitters like myself. I find this very important because I center my pet care around finding the best means of making the animals I care for as comfortable as possible while away from their owner.
A typical day
I always have plenty of dog toys and balls handy around the house, which usually leads to never-ending games of fetch with my dog! When she's not barking at the people and animals she sees out the front window, Daisy also loves playing tug-a-war and just running around in the backyard with the other dogs I board. I like to be careful about taking the animals I board on walks during the summertime, especially because I like to be cautious of the heat on the pads of their paws. However, when the weather permits, I love to take the dogs I board on walks to The Pocket Museum downtown!

Pet care experience
As someone who has always had a special place in her heart for animals, Rover has been such a wonderful way to make extra income doing something that not only comes natural to me, but I also take a lot of pride and JOY in doing! I live in a house with a large fenced yard near the avenues towards Downtown Hattiesburg. There, I have the sweetest and most happy golden retriever-mix named Daisy. I also have a chunky black cat named Ivee who is more elusive than her counterpart, but nonetheless sweeter. The last of my clan is another cat named Olive, who has an affinity for cardboard boxes and nose boops. I have plenty of experience taking care of both dogs and cats of various sizes, ages, and energy levels. In my experience, I have housed both cats and dogs as well as traveled to other people‘s houses to provide their pets with the best care within their own homes. I have experience boarding up to seven dogs in my home at the same time on several occasions. I am pretty flexible as a pet sitter, and I want to do whatever it takes to have your furry friends as comfortable as they could be while you are away!
