I have a pretty flexible schedule, and work from home a lot of the time as well. I usually have to leave the house for 4-5 hours each day during the week, but that is the longest a pet would be left alone at my house.

Safety, trust & environment
I keep a pretty consistent routine which keeps everyone comfortable and happy. I keep my cats separated from any visiting dogs. We go outside in the backyard numerous times/day and spend as much time out there as the dogs would like. There’s also plenty of lounging time in the living room. Depending on your preferences the dogs can be on or off the couches/beds and can be crated or left out at night.

Information Haley C. would like to know about your pet
Any odd or adverse behaviors is useful to know. If the dog has anxiety, or gets territorial during meal time, or get scared during a storm etc. It also helps to know the dogs history with other dogs outside of the house. Eating habits are important to know as well. Whether or not the dog is accustomed to meal feeding or is more of a grazer. I do require that dogs staying with me be crate trained. I need to be able to leave them crated for blocks of time (3-6 hours) while I’m gone during the day.
A typical day
I wake up around 5:30-6am everyday. Everyone goes outside, then gets fed, and then goes outside again. If it’s nice outside in the morning I may bring my laptop out and do some work while everyone mills around in the backyard. My schedule requires me to be out of the house for blocks of time at different points in the day, so I always have an opportunity to come home and let everyone out. Dogs in my home will typically spend 3-6 hours alone. In the evening sometimes we’ll go for a walk, or if it’s nice enough we’ll hangout in the backyard. Dinner is usually around 6pm. Then we’ll hangout in the living room as the day winds down, and I’ll usually go to bed around 10-11pm.

Pet care experience
I have a PhD in animal science and I work with horses. I love animals and like to stay active in my free time. I've had dogs my entire life, and have a thorough understanding of animal behavior, especially dog behavior! I’ve also been a dog sitter on Rover for several years now. I understand the feeling of leaving your pets behind when you’re gone, so I hope I can make that experience as easy and calm as possible for both you and your pets!
Reviews

The dogs love Haley. She is a godsend and always willing to help.
Haley took great care of our 7 month old puppy. This was Clipper’s first time away from us, so Haley kept us updated with texts and photos. Haley even met us at a closer location for us at drop off and pick up. We’ll definitely book a stay for Clipper again with Haley!

Very flexible and caring. She sent us adorable pictures throughout my trip. The drive to her house is beautiful.

Our dogs spent a few days with Haley. She communicated and sent pictures daily! Our fur babies played their hearts out!!
