I work hybrid (mostly from home though) and I work about 4hrs per day total. I am very active and love doing walks, training time, and play time with the pups. My fiance works fully remote.

I have a lot of experience with food motivated dogs, as my golden knows how to open cabinets and is very sneaky. We have child locks on our cabinets, trash put away behind a closed door, and never leave any food or dangerous items out under any circumstances. My older golden is very sweet, calm and friendly. My younger golden is all of the above but not quite as calm as she loves to play. I am very patient and have a lot of experience caring for dogs with anxiety. I will play soft music to drown out scary noises, sit by your dog while they eat, make sure to be home if there is any rain forecast, whatever they may need to feel comfortable :)

No breed preferences but would like to know beforehand if they have any history of reactivity, separation anxiety, or allergies. I also would like to know if your dog has a tendency to pee in new houses. It would also be helpful to know about leash reactivity or expectations for training so that I can maintain what is practiced at home! *I do not accept pick up or drop off times before 730A or after 9P, so please book for the next day or night prior if this is your flight time
A typical day
I love going on walks, going to dog parks, cuddling on the couch, playing in the yard, etc. I like to take lots of breaks walking the dogs around the neighborhood or taking them to the park to play. If owners prefer otherwise, I can do no parks or outside experiences.

My partner, Forest, and I are based in East Austin and care for pets together. We’re both huge animal lovers and genuinely enjoy meeting new dogs and welcoming them into our home. I’m a friendly, responsible, and active person who loves dogs, cats, and animals of all kinds. I’m a therapist and work a flexible schedule, often from home, which allows me to spend a lot of time with the pets in my care. My partner also has a flexible schedule, so there is always someone home and we’re rarely gone for more than a couple of hours. I’ve raised and trained two Golden Retrievers through advanced training levels, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of dog personalities and behaviors. I also volunteered with Golden Ribbon Rescue for three years as a Home Visit Coordinator, helping match rescue dogs with safe and loving homes and I now volunteer at Austin Animal Center. We love taking dogs on walks, runs, and outdoor adventures, but we’re just as happy spending time cuddling or relaxing with them at home. Our goal is to make every dog feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust the person watching your pet. I’m always happy to send photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands.

Hailey did an amazing job watching our dog. We received updates twice daily. She was very prepared and understanding when it came to complex supplements and medications for our epileptic dog. This was the longest we’ve ever been away from him and we felt completely at ease. Her home was very calm and inviting and Dobo settled in easily
