When I care for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with the same respect and care I would want for my own. I follow all instructions closely, from feeding routines to litter box care, medications, and any house rules you have in place. For cats especially, I understand how important it is to maintain a calm, familiar environment. I take the time to get to know your pet’s preferences and personality so I can adapt to their pace. I always make sure doors and windows are securely closed, litter boxes are clean, and feeding areas are tidy before I leave. I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you feel confident your pet is well looked after while you're away. I'm also always available if you need to message or call with any questions.

A typical day
Whether I’m visiting your pet at home or spending the day with them, my goal is always to make sure they feel relaxed, entertained, and loved. That might look like a cozy brushing session, interactive play with their favourite toys, window bird-watching time, or just sitting quietly together for some comforting company. For dogs, I love a nice walk, gentle playtime, and plenty of snuggles and praise. I’ll always check in with updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing while you’re away!

J’ai beaucoup d’expérience avec les chats, y compris donner des médicaments. J’adore aussi les chiens et je peux m’occuper de chiens calmes ou de taille moyenne. Une rencontre avant la réservation est possible pour voir si ça fonctionne bien avec votre animal. Je parle principalement anglais et j'essaie d'améliorer mon français, mais si vous préférez le français, n’hésitez pas à me contacter, on s’arrangera! I’ve been a devoted cat parent for most of my life, raising cats all the way from kittens to seniors. I currently live with two wonderful cats, and I’ve also volunteered at a cat shelter, so I’m familiar with all kinds of feline personalities. I also have experience administering medication to cats, including pills, liquids, and topical treatments, so I’m comfortable helping out with medical routines and extra care when needed. While most of my hands-on experience is with cats, I genuinely love dogs too! I grew up around them and always enjoy their energy and unique personalities. I’m happy to take on dog-sitting or dog-walking jobs—especially with calm or medium dogs—and I’ll always follow your guidance closely to ensure your pup is safe, comfortable, and having fun. If you’re unsure whether it’s the right fit, let's arrange a meet-and-greet so we can get to know each other and more importantly, so your pet can get comfortable with me first. **For those booking house-sitting, please know that every pet has different needs. If your pet needs constant care/cannot be left alone then there may be additional fees to be discussed before confirming the booking. I will always strive to be transparent with every booking!

My dog loved Hailey, and what could have been a difficult handover (as I was already away travelling for work) was very easy. Hailey was really accommodating. Knowing Tilly was in safe hands - and that she was happy- was so great, and made travel so much easier!
