Pets

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in their home, I focus on keeping their routine, environment, and comfort exactly the way they’re used to. I follow the owner’s instructions closely—feeding schedules, walk times, play preferences, medication needs, and any household rules—so pets feel secure and stress‑free. I take time to learn each pet’s personality, whether they need extra play, quiet companionship, or a slow, gentle approach. I keep the home tidy and respectful, making sure food and water areas stay clean, litter boxes or potty routines are maintained, and any messes are handled right away. I also pay attention to small details like closing gates, locking doors, turning lights on or off as requested, and keeping the home feeling lived‑in and safe. Throughout the stay, I send updates and photos so owners always know how their pets are doing.

Hailey has been amazing with our two dogs. She treats them like they're her own, and we always know they're safe, happy, and loved while we're away. We couldn't recommend her more highly!

Schedule

Pet care is a natural part of my weekly rhythm, especially since I work from home three days a week. On those WFH days, I’m able to offer flexible, consistent attention—perfect for pets who enjoy companionship, regular check‑ins, or a steady routine. I build feeding times, walks or play sessions, potty breaks, and general wellness checks around my work blocks, making sure pets get the care and interaction they need throughout the day. On the days I’m in the office, I plan visits intentionally to keep each pet’s routine stable. Whether it’s morning care, midday enrichment, or evening check‑ins, I make sure every pet gets predictable, comforting attention. Because I’m used to balancing a hybrid schedule with pet responsibilities, I’m very organized and reliable about maintaining consistent care all week long.

To give your pets the best care possible, it helps me to know a few important things ahead of time: Daily Routine — feeding schedule, walk times, nap habits, and any rituals they love. Medical Needs — medications, allergies, mobility issues, or anything I should monitor. Behavior Notes — quirks, fears, reactivity, separation anxiety, or anything that helps me keep them safe and comfortable. Training Cues — commands they know, words you use at home, and any rules you want me to follow. Emergency Info — your vet’s contact, preferred emergency clinic, and how to reach you while you’re away.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
