I’m currently working part time at a doggy daycare 3 days a week, and my schedule changes often. If I am boarding a dog, then I let the owners know that there will be certain times when their dog will be crated or put inside while I am gone.

I keep dogs leashed while walking outside the fence and I prefer to have all info on a dog’s habits (aggressions, abandonment issues, behavior history, etc.). If a dog is not a good fit upon meeting, then I’ll let the owner know before booking.

If your dog has any behavior triggers (cats, cars honking, crates, walking on a leash, etc.) please let me know ahead of time so we can avoid any issues. I have no breed or size preference, but if a dog has issues with biting or aggression, I need to know ahead of time to prepare accordingly. Also if a dog has issues with potty training or leash training :)
A typical day
I love to spend time with dogs outside, whether it’s sitting with an old dog on a padded bed on the porch, or running laps with an active doodle, i think being outside is good for any dog and can help them feel safer in a new environment away from home. If I need to go to work, I leave dogs in crates or in separate bedrooms with a Kong or active toy if needed, and with water. I usually work 7 hours and 3 days a week, so I don’t need to leave dogs for long periods

I offer affordable pet care to the people in my community, and I enjoy doing it! I’ve rescued dogs and cats with my family since I was a kid, and it brings me a lot of joy to care for elderly dogs in particular. I currently work at a doggy daycare and I know that some animals just don’t do well in loud, harsh environments like that, especially elderly dogs. That’s why I’m happy to offer housesitting and boarding services in my own home.
