I’m new to Rover, but not to pet, plant and home care! Beyond pet-sitting and rehabilitating animals + transforming their health, I ran a large waterfront estate for 4 years as a PA, including while they were away for a year. I grew up with dogs, cats, horses, and a pet chicken. I work online, so while pet-sitting I have ample time to hang out with your dear ones. I’m certified in Reiki, have studied Natural Horsemanship, and have clicker-trained dogs. My own cat (RIP 🩷) learned to sit and lie down for treats…and would purr during nail trims. My favorite comment from past clients is, “Every time we come home our pets are so relaxed and happy.” (Also the African Grey parrot’s person who said, “He’s never sat on anyone else’s shoulder before!”) Caring for your animals and home is an honor. Every creature is special—from grand stallions to tiny jumping spiders—and I love spaces. I also do organizing and feng shui for fun—nerd alert. You can add a “please organize this crazy cupboard” project and come home to a more peaceful space. I’m experienced in raw-food diets and animal nutrition, so I’m undaunted by complicated mealtimes—in fact, I encourage it, because when pets feel better, everyone benefits. 🐶

I'm happy to accommodate their routine and I can walk your dogs (if they don't pull with heavy weight) and play fetch in fenced yards. I'm familiar with crating and can adjust to your pet's routine as needed and continue their training that you have in place. If they like adventuring I can take them out for a trail walk, too!

Alix has been so amazing to work with! Our puppy instantly felt at ease with her (and I did too!) which made it easier to leave her for the first time. She’s great at communicating and working with us as we settle in to our new routines. I greatly appreciate her notes and suggestions, especially since we’re pretty new at this. I look forward to working with her again!
I loved Alix and I think my pets did too. She took my very active dog to the dog park most days. She was very gentle with her and my cats. She treated them like her own. She offered good suggestions regarding their care and feeding. I felt very comfortable around her. She's a great communicator. I would like to use her again.
My experience with Gymi “Alix” was absolutely wonderful, and I highly recommend her for any house-sitting needs especially if you have a skittish or people-selective dog. She was amazing with my pups and kept me updated with pictures and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. I usually feel a lot of guilt and worry when leaving them for vacation, but I didn’t worry at all while she was there. My chihuahua is especially skittish around new people and won’t even let some family members touch him, so I was beyond relieved (and honestly shocked) when Alix sent me videos of him sitting on her lap and asking for snuggles. That alone speaks volumes about how patient and gentle she is. She also took great care of my chickens, was incredibly respectful of my home, and actually left it better than she found it. Alix is a genuinely great person, and I truly couldn’t recommend her enough.
Alix was such a great sitter for my two dogs, we would welcome her back any time ! She was incredibly communicative and helpful with a small medical issue that came up. She was so sweet with my dogs and I know they were well taken care of. Highly recommend her as a sitter !

I typically work online, which is ideal because my schedule is flexible and I have ample time to hang with your furry fam. If you have wifi, we're all set. ;)
