Safety, trust & environment

Before my walks with my dog, I check to make sure he drinks a good amount of water. Then I put on his harness and grab a couple of poop bags in case he decides to go twice on the walk (which he has done). When we get back, I like to give him a treat if he behaves well on the walk.

Pet care experience

My experience with dogs began when my family dog, Sawyer, was introduced into my life in 2014, when he was only 7 months old. I learned the skills necessary to deal with a hyperactive Labrador puppy who still sometimes acts like one, even at 12 years old. I'm able to firmly grip leashes, having dealt with a dog that frequently used to tug as a puppy, and establish command when necessary. I grew up around other family dogs as well, so I can effectively recognize stressed behaviors when displaying and act accordingly. I have great awareness, which is necessary to distinguish potential stressors in unfamiliar walking environments that could set some dogs off. Most importantly, I love to care for animals, and I'd love to show that through my passion for walking dogs.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Gwenyth was while sitting my dog Bogey while we were away. Bogey never took to a new person the way he did with Gwenyth. She constantly sent photos and updates, played with him and was never away for long. We returned to an immaculate home and a very happy Bogey. I would highly recommend Gwen as a pet sitter.

Gwen did an excellent job. We had to add a dog to her sitting duties last minute and it became sick with an inflamed pancreas the day we left. She handled it like a champ. Took Winston to the vet 4 times over three days and was able to nurse him back to health. We are so grateful for Gwen and all of her help.

I highly recommend Gwen as a pet sitter and caregiver. She is responsible, trustworthy, and genuinely caring with animals. I have seen first hand how patient and attentive she is and there is never a moment when she is not making sure lets feel comfortable, safe, and loved. She is also a great communicator and will ensure the safety of your animal at all times. Any family would be lucky to have Gwen care for their pets!
