Safety, trust & environment

I will care for your pet as if they were my own, and will treat your home with the upmost respect. I understand that your home is where your pet feels the most comfortable, so I will do my best not to disturb that environment and ensure both their comfort and safety while you are away.

Information Gwendolyn L. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your pet has any special care they need or any behavioral quirks you think I should be aware of. For walking in particular, I prefer dogs that are relatively well-trained, especially when it comes to larger breeds. I would also like to know your dog’s tolerance of other dogs, people, cars, etc., and if they are in any way reactionary towards or fearful of anything, so that I can provide the most comfortable and safe experience for them possible.

A typical day

My goal for watching your dog will be to get them moving and outside. On walks, I will let them sniff as much as they want and walk them as far as they are used to. I will play with them using their favorite toys or just give them pets if that’s what they prefer. I can also teach them new tricks!

Pet care experience

I’ve been taking care of pets since I was 10, and have had dogs my whole life. I have experience with elderly animals, and some experience with training and reinforcement of training. I have experience caring for animals with separation anxiety and can follow any special instructions you may have regarding your pet!

Gwen is super conscientious, responsible and kind. She has first hand experience with dogs and cats that she has had as pets. One of her dogs was “special needs” with severe separation anxiety issues. She has the experience, calmness, and patience to deal with pets of all kinds and needs. She also understands (first hand) what it is like to be a pet owner who might be worried about the quality of care from an “unknown” person. She will always do the right thing for an animal that can’t speak for themselves and relies on the kindness and caring of a human. I highly recommend Gwen for your pet sitting needs!
