Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I am home studying most days except Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I have plenty of time and would love a study buddy.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for dogs by paying close attention to how they communicate through body language and behavior. I ensure meals and any required medication are given on time, keep water bowls full, and adjust care to each dog’s routine. I live alone in a quiet basement suite, so I am able to supervise dogs at all times while studying and give them consistent attention and care.

Information Gurleen G. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for a dog, I like to know their daily routine, feeding schedule, and any medications or allergies. It is also helpful to understand their personality, energy level, training level, walking habits, and how they communicate stress or excitement. Knowing what comforts them, any triggers to avoid, and emergency vet information helps me provide safe, consistent, and personalized care.
A typical day
I enjoy keeping dogs active and happy through a mix of long neighborhood walks, sniff breaks, and outdoor time in all kinds of weather. Indoors, I spend time playing with toys like fetch, tug, and puzzle games, and I also incorporate gentle training and mental stimulation using positive reinforcement. I balance active play with calm downtime, whether that means relaxed indoor play while I study nearby or quiet cuddle time for dogs who prefer a slower pace.

A dog lover without a dog
Pet care experience
I have been caring for dogs for over four years, from energetic puppies to calm medium sized dogs. I love animals, but while I am finishing my bachelors degree, my schedule is very full, and I would never want to give a dog anything less than the time and attention they deserve. That is why I choose to care for other people’s dogs rather than own one right now. What sets me apart is how intentional I am with each dog. I am a daily walker and genuinely enjoy getting outside for long walks, whether it is raining or sunny. I take the time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and comfort level, and I always ask thoughtful questions so I can provide the best care possible. I want every dog to feel safe, understood, and happy while they are with me.
Reviews

Luna came home happy. Well taken care of Luna.

Gurleen was great with our dog, she was very thorough on intake to ensure Clementine was comfortable and happy for the whole stay. Communication through the booking process, meet and greet and the stay were all excellent. Would not hesitate to book with Gurleen again!
First time on Rover! Great experience with Gurleen. Kept us updated with photos and videos.

gurleen took amazing care of my 11-month-old puppy, Milo. She sent us pictures and updates throughout the day, which made us feel really comfortable. Milo was happy and well cared for, and we would definitely trust her to watch him again.
