Caring for Dogs Like They’re My Own
I have hands-on experience caring for and helping train a Belgian Malinois, a highly intelligent and high-energy breed that requires consistency, patience, and structure. This taught me how to read dog behavior, reinforce good habits, and stay calm in different situations. Growing up, I wasn’t allowed to have my own pets, so I spent years caring for dogs and animals for neighbours and cousins. That experience built my love for animals and made me very attentive, gentle, and responsible. I treat every pet like they’re my own and focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I prioritize safety, routine, and making pets feel comfortable in any environment. I live in an apartment that is clean, calm, and pet-friendly, and I always make sure the space is secure and free of anything harmful. Right behind my apartment, there’s a large open field as well as a park where many dogs go to play, so your dog will get plenty of exercise, fresh air, and stimulation. I always supervise outdoor time closely and follow your dog’s specific needs, whether that’s playtime, structured walks, or a calmer routine. In a client’s home, I respect your space and stick closely to your pet’s usual schedule to keep them feeling safe and stress-free.
Ratings and reviews
Gurleen has taken care of our dog Simba, who is now a 6 year old Rottweiler and we couldn’t ask for anyone better. Whenever my family and I are away, we fully trust her to look after him. She makes sure he’s well fed, takes him on regular walks, plays with him, and truly treats him like her own. Simba absolutely loves her, and it’s clear she has a natural connection with dogs. Gurleen is reliable, caring, and especially great with bigger dogs like our giant bear. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving and responsible pet caregiver.

Schedule
I'm currently in school but take my courses online and don't have a job so I will have plenty of time to take care of dogs!
- Cats0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsGurleen can host up to 3 drop-ins per day
- It’s important to know a few key things about the pets ahead of time, like their feeding schedule, any allergies or medical needs, and their daily routine. I’d also ask about their behavior (friendly, shy, aggressive), favorite activities, and any specific rules or training they follow. This helps make sure they stay comfortable, safe, and happy.
