I have a lifelong background in animal care, growing up on my family’s horse ranch, where I spent 20 years working with animals and learning the ins and outs of ranching. For the last five years it was under our ownership, I took on managing the ranch. Throughout this time, dogs were always by my side—starting with my childhood Australian Heeler, who went everywhere with me. After she passed, I raised and trained three Border Collie-Aussie cattle dogs, all skilled in on- and off-leash commands. My parents also had dogs—a dachshund and two small rescues—which created a lively, dog-friendly environment. When we sold the ranch, I moved my Border Collies to my parents' seven-acre property, where they could have the space they were used to. After graduating from college, I moved to Las Vegas for my career as a chemical engineer. I left my dogs with my parents, knowing they’d be happier in a spacious environment rather than alone during my long workdays. In addition to dogs, I have experience caring for a variety of other animals and love all animals. My goal here isn’t financial—I’m genuinely looking to reconnect with animals. I’d love to find a good match with a dog to start with short neighborhood walks and gradually work up to longer walks and even hikes if we are all comfortable with it.
