Grey can care for
Availability
I currently work part-time with regular afternoon shifts at an early childhood development center in NE Denver. Generally I’m unavailable for drop-ins and walks between 11am-5pm, Mon-Fri. I am generally flexible in mornings, and also have some availability on weekends, but that can be variable season to season. (If I must decline a booking I will do so as swiftly and considerately as possible to minimize schedule strain and headaches on your end.)

Safety, trust & environment
I approach this work by understanding that I'm coming into the pets' own space. When I am new to them, I will come in following any guidance given so they know there's a layer of being in touch with their lovely humans. I am flexible with my voice and body language (including posture/stance and attire). Happy to talk with them as I go about tasks if that helps them be at ease and have the best time through the experience. I am happy to follow guidance on any aspects of the care needed or concerns owners/guardians have, such as preferred order of tasks, preferred paths for walks, and reducing any concerning interactions or stimuli when out.
Information Grey G. would like to know about your pet
Appreciate knowing what kinds of things pets enjoy the most to incorporate that into the daily as much as possible, and to know how their energy or affect may shift through the day. With walking in mind, helpful to know if they (or you for them) have preferred routes for peace of mind or because they want to stay up on the neighborhood goss, or they enjoy having things switched up for new sights and smells to take in.
A typical day
It really depends on the animals and the guidance provided. How to thread in their interests and favorite activities and energy level through the daily flow of the stay. Using my cats as example, they both get involved with some stretches and play during breaks and snacks through the day that I take, that often involve us doing some floor play together with toys that are rotated in and out, while main event kind of activities are specific to each, with one preferring harness-leash walk around the neighborhood and the other who isn’t into that getting the extended one-on-one play with a specific toy that they preferred with lots of pouncing and climbing involved.

Pet care experience
I have cared for my own and friends' furry family members throughout life. I’ve cared for many of them since puppyhood or kittenhood, and most have come through shelters/rescue, so I’m well aware of how to be responsive to unique trauma triggers in order to help put an animal at ease, such as establishing bonds and developing communication. I have lived in households with up to four dogs and two cats that included two neighborhood street rescues and a senior adoptee. I have experience with personalized food and medications as needed.

Reviews

As always, I’m extremely happy with the care Grey provided to my pup! Communication is perfect, and I really appreciate the pictures. I will recommend Grey to any friends who ask about a dog sitter!

He took such great care of my cats! Grey is the best!

Grey did great with our slightly spicy/standoffish, easily-overstimulated boy! I was specifically looking for someone that was good with cat body language and would be able to read and understand our kitties and I think Linus liked him. Grey was very communicative and sent thorough updates over the holiday, and everything was well taken care of when we returned!

Grey is a fantastic sitter - extremely detailed updates and pictures, and the dogs seemed to love him. He also was there for us during a last minute holiday booking. I am extremely lucky to have worked with Greg and would recommend him to any of my friends!
