About Grettel G.
Communication
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
The safety of your pets and the security of your home are my top priorities whether I’m dropping in for visits while you’re out of town or taking your pup for a daily walk while you’re away at the office. With over a decade of experience caring for dogs, cats, turtles and every thing in between, you can trust me to bring real-world animal care experience into your home. For your peace of mind (and mine!) I’m always vigilant of my surroundings, double check doors and locks and triple secure collars, leashes and harnesses. I’m a stickler for detail and will follow your care instructions to a T.
Information Grettel G. would like to know about your pet
I have no breed restrictions—As the former owner of a purebred American Staffordshire Terrier (RIP Junebug!) I know traits like gentleness, sweetness and tractability come in every package. I judge every animal as a unique individual. What I’ll need to know is if your animal has any existing health conditions or diet or activity restrictions that need special attention (i.e. needs medication, has a sensitive stomach so no treats, recent tendon tear or recent surgery and shouldn’t jump up on furniture, is vision or hearing impaired, is heat intolerant, etc.) or any tendencies, anxieties or aggression triggers I should be mindful of (i.e. pulls on leash, is dog aggressive, has a high prey drive around squirrels, a fear of children, resource guards, escape history, etc.). The more information you can share with upfront, the better 🐶
A typical day
I let my clients take the lead here. Different pets have different activity needs and activity restrictions based on age, breed, activity level and general health. I like to do a meet-and-greet ahead of my first visit to get to know your family and pet and establish expectations. For dogs, a typical visit is a 30 min walk with time to sniff and explore after which we’ll return to your house where I’ll refresh their water bowl, give them a treat and lock up after myself. If your dog has access to a secure yard and isn’t accustomed to walks or has physical limitations, the 30 minute visit will look slightly different, with the outdoor activity being limited to your property. Cat visits usually involve a feeding, water bowl refresh, playtime and litter box service. Exotic pet visits usually involve feeding/watering, spot cleaning enclosures and adjusting lighting and heating elements.

Reviews

Grettel is amazing and our boys love when she comes over!

Grettel was super attentive and communicative during our time away. She took excellent care of our cats, our aquariums and our house. We had absolute confidence that our babies were safe and cared for. We will absolutely be booking Grettel again for any of our pet sitting needs in the future! Thank you, Grettel! 🧡
Excellent!!!

So glad to have found Grettel. She was wonderful with my senior cat & making sure she got her meds each day. Definitely would re-book in the future. Thanks Grettel!
