I have had pets my entire life, and currently have a dog & cat, both who are friendly with other pets. I am patient, reliable and deeply committed to loving and attentive care. I treat every animal as if they were my own! I’ve been trusted to walk neighbors’ and friends’ dogs and to dog-sit since I was 12, which taught me how to care for different breeds, personalities, and energy levels. In addition to dogs, I’ve had cats for over 5 years, so I’m comfortable caring for both. I treat every pet like my own and focus on making them feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

Gretel sure takes great care of her pets! She took care of my dog Penny and made sure she received lots of exercise and hugs. She took care to make sure Penny got a long enough walk without over exerting herself. She also made sure Penny was fed and happy. I would trust Gretel with my pets any day and cannot recommend her enough!

Schedule
Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I work nights typically from 3pm-11pm. This allows me to be very present and flexible during the day when it comes to walking, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I have plenty of free time during both weekdays and weekends, so I’m able to give pets consistent attention, maintain their routines, and adjust my schedule to meet their needs. Through regular walks, play sessions, or simply keeping your pet company, I’m happy to provide attentive, reliable care.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets. I make sure every pet feels comfortable by following their normal routines, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any other house rules. I have a spacious home with plenty of room for pets to relax, play, and feel at ease. The furniture is pet-friendly, allowing well-mannered guests to feel like part of the family rather than confined to a separate space. Outside, pets have access to a large, fully fenced backyard where they can safely explore, exercise, and enjoy supervised outdoor time. I maintain a clean, calm environment and closely supervise pets at all times, especially during play and walks. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and carefully follow all instructions. I double-check doors, leashes, and gates, make sure pets always have fresh water, and monitor behavior closely. I also provide regular updates so you can feel confident your pet is safe and well cared for.
A typical day
I love to play outside with the dogs and inside with the kitties. I often will take a walk with your dog or play fetch if they enjoy that. Treats for good behavior and lots of love throughout my visits!
