Hi! I'm Gretchen and my partner is Louis. We are excited to meet the doggo members of your family and provide them with lots of love, care, and attention while you're away. Louis grew up with dogs and raised his children with them, and I was thrilled to finally get my first dog 15 years ago. We've got extensive experience caring for older and health-challenged dogs -- my first dog (a pug) had numerous health issues in the second half of her life, and together we've recently forever fostered for Old Dog Haven. We are currently without dogs of our own and are only taking dogs from one family at a time, so while your pup(s) are with us, they'll get our undivided attention.

Schedule
We both work from home so your doggos will almost always have at least one of us around to play with and love up on them frequently. Occasionally we will both be out of the house, though that is not frequent and generally for only 2 to 4 hours at at a time. Let us know if longer periods left alone like that are challenging for your pup and we will design a schedule that takes your individual dog's needs into account.

Safety, trust & environment
We live in a small house with an unfenced yard. We will take your leashed dogs outside frequently to take care of their businesses and on at least one longer walk a day, though often we'll take the pups on multiple walks in a day. Let us know if your doggo needs a higher degree of exercise and we'll work with you to organize a walk/play plan to meet their needs. If you have an older dog with mobility challenges, we would love to take care of them. Our front door is reached via a few steps, and we've got a custom-built dog ramp for those pups no longer able to comfortably navigate stairs. Once they get inside, the main living spaces are all on one level.
A typical day
We have a bin full of toys for your doggo's playtime. And our house is laid out in such a way that we've got a great space to play chase, tug, and fetch within the house. Additionally, we enjoy taking the doggos on at least two walks a day with additional shorter visits outside for potty breaks. More walks are possible if needed.
