This is a second job for me, and my main position at the McHenry Hospital overnight. My shifts are a typical 8 hour workday(night) from 11pm-730am. During caring for your pet though, my priority is to be flexible with my schedule so your pet can stick to their routine and get the exact care the need!

I believe our pets are part of our families, so I strive to provide attentive care which can include sticking to feeding plans, medication distribution, walks/exercise, potty breaks, lots of love, and plenty of photo updates for the parents! To ensure as much ease for the pet, I offer to stay at their home. I believe it helps minimize the stress a new experience can cause by having all their comfort spaces/items readily available. It's not easy leaving our pets, but I can promise you that your pet will be in great care :)

Two main things I like to know about each pet before visits are their personality/behavioral traits and any medical conditions(including anxiety) These help me come prepared for each stay, so I can give the best care for them.
A typical day
I enjoy discovering each pets favorite activity. Whether it's playing fetch, enrichment games, neighborhood walks, or even long naps! A happy pet is healthy pet!

Hey there-My name is Gretchen, and I have been caring for pets ever since I was old enough to help with my own family dog growing up. My love for animals has only grown stronger with each passing year, so I've set out to help give families with furbabies "peace of mind" care fort vacations, day trips, etc. I've cared for all types of pets such as dogs, cats, bunnies, fish, chickens, and even turkeys!

Gretchen was great! She kept us updated frequently and sent many pictures of our dogs throughout the stay. She took great care of them and they were very happy. This was the first time we left them with someone other than friends or family and Gretchen really made us feel comfortable and eased our minds.
Gretchen is the best dog sitter I have ever had. She keeps us informed with pictures and comments about the pups day. She goes above and beyond for me and my dogs. I highly recommend her! It's so nice to feel confident the dogs are being well taken care of. She also takes care of the house too. She has shoveled and taken the mail in. My dogs can be stressed at times but I know they are in great hands. Thanks Gretchen!!
