Active, fun loving dog walker!
I grew up with dogs, and unfortunately can't have animals in my apartment, so I'm looking for a way to spend time with dogs and help out when I can! I have been a dog and cat sitter for the last few years. This included walking, feeding, playing, home sitting, and visits to the vet for your dog. The dogs I've taken care of were mostly large dogs, so I do have experience handling larger breeds, and using different types of leashes. I am available weekday nights. I have a car, small SUV, so any transportation needs will not be an issue. Looking forward to meeting your dog!

Gretchen exceeded our expectations in taking care of our 3 pets and home while we were away for over a week. Our 2 dogs are quite big weighing around 70 pounds each and love to engage in big play. One of our pups is what we affectionately call "high maintenance". She demands and requires a lot of attention with play, training, affection and making sure she isn't chewing something she shouldn't! Gretchen kept us updated regularly with texts and photos and took our dogs shenanigans in stride. Our flight was even delayed a full day and she was willing to extend her stay if needed. When we made it home, our house was in complete order and well taken care of. She even made sure to take care of extras like seeing if we wanted a pile of boxes taken out for recycling. We highly recommend her!!!!!
Gretchen house sat for us for a three day weekend recently and took care of our English Shepherd. She is wonderful - very professional and dependable and was great with our dog who can be leash reactive. Gretchen has a really calm demeanor and our dog really took to her. She gave us frequent updates while we were gone and I felt very confident that she had everything well in hand.
Gretchen was great! Took wonderful care of my two pups - kept in touch and made me feel comfortable while we were away!
We highly recommend Gretchen to care for your pup. She is professional, courteous and obviously loves dogs and has an ease with them. I had a good feeling from her reviews and profile so I contacted Gretchen to see if she would be willing to walk Sunny a few days in a row so they could get to know each other and see if it was a good fit. Gretchen replied promptly and set up a time for a meet and greet. Sunny was very happy to see her when she arrived and responded easily and gladly to her commands. We are looking forward to building a relationship with Gretchen for future walks, visits and housesitting.
By far the best dog sitter I have ever had. Gretchen will be my first choice every time I need someone to watch my dog.
Gretchen was amazing with our cats and they took to her right away (a first!). Dependable, day after day, she feed, played with, and kept our cats comfortable and happy! Feel so lucky to have found her!

Schedule
I’m currently working full time, so I am mostly available week days in the evenings for walks or some weekends in the morning. I can try to accommodate to your schedule!
