Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible to help their pets feel comfortable and secure. This includes feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, administering medications if needed, cleaning up after pets, and providing plenty of attention and companionship. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can have peace of mind while they're away. I am also open to boarding dogs in my home as long as they are friendly with other pets. I have two dogs of my own, a Cocker Spaniel and a Toy Australian Shepherd, who are both well-socialized and accustomed to being around other dogs. Any pet staying in my home would receive plenty of attention, exercise, and a safe, loving environment. They would always be on a leash in my yard since I do not have a fence. My goal is always to make pets feel comfortable, happy, and cared for, whether they're in their own home or mine.
Information Greta G. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for a pet, I like to know as much as possible so I can provide the best care and keep their routine consistent. I like to know their feeding schedule, potty routine, exercise needs, favorite activities, any medications or health concerns, allergies, behavioral quirks, fears or anxieties, and how they interact with other people and animals. I also appreciate knowing any commands they respond to, whether they’re allowed on furniture, and who to contact in case of an emergency. The more I know beforehand, the more comfortable, safe, and happy your pet will be while you’re away.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I like to tailor my care to their personality, energy level, and routine. A typical day includes feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. For more active dogs, I enjoy long walks, playing fetch, tug-of-war, or other games to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. For older or more relaxed pets, I’m happy to spend time cuddling, brushing them, or simply keeping them company. If they’re comfortable with it, I also enjoy practicing basic commands and using enrichment toys or treat puzzles. My goal is to make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible.

Pet care experience
I’m originally from Rhode Island, where I previously cared for pets before moving to North Carolina. I’ve been around animals my entire life and have years of experience caring for dogs and horses. For the past two summers, I worked at a country club in Rhode Island where I regularly walked members’ dogs—some daily—as well as fed them, checked in on them, and provided companionship while their owners were away. I have two dogs of my own, Belle and Bubba, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels, including puppies and senior dogs. I potty trained both of my dogs, and my experience includes feeding, walking, exercising, administering basic medications, basic grooming, providing companionship, and monitoring for any signs of illness or discomfort. What sets me apart is my strong animal background, reliability, and attention to detail. As an equestrian with 16 years of riding experience, I have a deep understanding of animal behavior and the importance of patience, consistency, and individualized care. Whether I’m caring for a quick puppy walk or providing attentive care for senior pets, I treat every animal as if they were my own. I also make it a priority to keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident knowing their pets are happy, safe, and receiving the best possible care while they’re away.
