Because I work from home, there's always someone keeping a close eye on the pups throughout the day—your dog will never be left alone for long. I love keeping my two dachshunds active, so a typical day includes a couple of walks plus plenty of time to run around and play in the backyard. I also make at least one or two trips to Rock Creek Park each week, where the dogs get to enjoy a nice long walk through the woods. Your pup is welcome to join in on all the fun and stay active right alongside my crew!

My yard is fully fenced in, so there's a secure space to play and explore, and I use mini indoor gates throughout the house to keep dogs in certain rooms whenever needed. If your pup needs or prefers a little crate time or a quiet moment to themselves, I have a large, home-built wooden crate that's more like a cozy lounge day bed than anything else. I'm completely obsessed with my own fur babies, and you can trust that I'll give your little ones that exact same love, care, and attention while they're with me.

Let me know if your dog(s) have any behavior issues - resource guarding or potential issues in meeting new dogs. I'm ideally looking for smaller to mid sized dogs that get along with smaller dogs like my Dachshunds.
A typical day
I typically walk my dogs two to three times a day. If it's only two times, they are long walks. I'll often take the pups to Rock Creek Park for a hike one or twice a week as well. The dogs also spend a fair bit of time in our backyard chasing each other or just basking in the sun. On rainy days, we'll play fetch indoors, or hide and seek with treats, or tug of war.

My home is a place where dogs are family, and your pup will fit right in. I am a pet lover through and through—I grew up with three dogs, and that love for animals has only grown. These days I work from home and am borderline obsessed with my two dachshunds, who would be thrilled to keep your pup company and make a new puppy friend. I wanted a safe, welcoming spot for neighbors' dogs to come, play, and feel at home while their families are away. I know how it feels to be apart from your fur babies, whenever I am away I want photos and updates, so I’ll do the same for you. My place offers the best of both worlds: a spacious backyard to run and play, plus a cozy indoor space to relax, with a dog park and other parks just a short walk away. I have completed two rounds of puppy training and am comfortable administering many oral medications, so your dog is in capable hands. To make sure we're the perfect fit, I ask to meet ahead of time. Our dogs are our family, and I’d love to give yours a warm, loving home away from home. If you think this might be the right match, I'm happy to chat through any questions when we meet!

Gregory is so wonderful with Evie! We’ve used him multiple times and, honestly, it brings me so much joy and ease to know they take care of Evie like their own. They play with her, challenge her, cuddle with her, and she looks forward to going every time! She loves their dogs and they’re all like little besties now.
