Availability
As a teacher, I’m back in school full-time, so my weekday availability is a little more limited than it is during the summer. I’m still happy to house sit anytime and love being able to give pets plenty of attention and companionship while their owners are away! For weekday walks and drop-in visits, I’ll generally need to schedule them for later in the day after school (excluding some school breaks, when I have more flexibility). Saturdays and Sundays are much more open, giving me plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, and longer visits. I genuinely love animals and enjoy spending my free time caring for them, so I’ll always do my best to make sure your pets feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away!

Creating a safe, calm, and trustworthy environment for pets is very important to me. As a teacher for the past 5 years, I’m naturally responsible, attentive, and dependable, and I understand how much trust goes into leaving your pets in someone else’s care. I always follow owners’ instructions carefully, pay close attention to pets’ behavior and routines, and make sure they feel comfortable, secure, and loved while you’re away. I’m also very clean and organized in my own home and respectful of others’ homes. Whether I’m caring for energetic dogs, shy cats, or smaller pets, I aim to create a relaxed environment where they can feel safe and cared for. I’ll also keep you updated with communication and photos so you can feel confident your pets are happy and in good hands.

Before caring for a pet, I like to know about their daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, medications, favorite activities, and any behavioral quirks or triggers. It’s also helpful to know how they interact with other animals and people, whether they have any fears or anxieties, and what helps them feel most comfortable when their owners are away. The more I know about your pet’s personality and routine, the better I can provide care that keeps them happy, safe, and stress-free.
A typical day
A typical day depends on each pet’s needs and routine. During the school year, I’ll work around my teaching schedule while making sure pets receive the care, attention, and exercise they need. For dogs, that may include walks, playtime, potty breaks, feeding, and plenty of attention and affection. On weekends and during school breaks, I have more flexibility to spend extended time with pets and provide extra play and enrichment. For cats, I make sure they receive playtime, cuddles (if they enjoy them!), fresh food and water, and a clean litter box. I enjoy playing fetch, tug-of-war, going on walks, and providing enrichment activities to keep pets mentally stimulated. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, so I always tailor my care to help them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owners are away.
