Pets have been part of my life as long as I can remember - rodents, dogs, cats, chickens. I’ve fostered and adopted rescue dogs, raised puppies and trained both puppies and adult dogs; a senior trainer once singled out how well I connect with dogs and get real results in training sessions. I’m outside a lot and can tailor exercise to the dog - slow neighborhood wanders for some, trail runs for others.

I have known Graeme a long time and he has always had a great love for animals and specifically dogs. I have seen him interact with his dogs as well as mine. He is gentle and patient but can also be firm when necessary. I have trusted him with my dogs over the years and know he would be responsible and caring for anyone else’s dogs too.

Schedule
I work from home with flexible hours, so pet care fits naturally into my day - not squeezed around a 9-to-5. That means plenty of time for walks, play and just keeping generally good company.

Safety, trust & environment
At home I’ve got a 3-year-old dog who gets along with everyone: other dogs, cats, kids. She’s a great role model for pets staying with us. I use positive reinforcement and motivation based training, never punishment. My yard is fully fenced, and we’re close to several parks and trails for exercise and stimulation. The house also contains two cats and two kids, all of whom are dog-savvy and comfortable around other animals…just something for you to be aware of when assessing if we’re the right fit for your furry family member.
Pets
A typical day
I spend as much of my days outside as I can. Even when I’m working, if it can be from the backyard then I’m there. This means there will be lots of outside time in the fenced yard. We also do daily walks and, depending on the dogs energy levels and desire, frequently do neighborhood or trail runs and hikes.
