Memorial Day is filling fast - book for your long weekend now! I grew up in a house never without a cat and a dog roaming its halls. An avid animal lover, I have been taking care of friends and families dogs and pets in their homes professionally for over a decade. I also volunteered at a cat shelter for 6 years, including working with elderly cats, kittens, and cats with temperament issues and medication needs. While cats have always been my first love, dogs are a close second, and I’ve had the joy of watching all kinds of pups, including reactive dogs from 6 week old puppies to large breeds, including Pyrenees, Saint Bernards, and Pit Bulls. I also have cared for friends pet snakes, guinea pigs, turtles, tarantulas, geckos, chickens, and even raccoons! I’m happy to hang out with any animal! As an adult, I have a beloved senior cat of my own, Scout who is truly my whole world. She’s very high maintenance and I’m a bit of a helicopter parent, so I know just how important attentive and loving care for your fur babies is while you are away! While I watch pets, I love to snap (at least) 8 pictures for my clients and always include detailed notes, so you know that all of their needs have been met and can tell how they’re doing, allowing you to rest a little easier.
