Hi, I'm Gracie! I do home remodeling & carpentry things for work, but my number one passion is in taking care of animals. I also travel pretty frequently and because of that, I’ve found this platform invaluable. So aside from wanting to meet and hang with your cute pets, I’d love to return the favor and help out fellow pet owners! Especially in those dire, last minute boarding/sitting situations. (been there 😅) Growing up, my family fostered retired racing greyhounds so I’m very comfortable around sensitive and unsure dogs. For several years I worked and lived on various animal farms- all of which had/bred livestock guardian dogs that I worked very closely with. I am experienced in senior care and administering medications (including injections) to all sorts of animals.

I would highly recommend Gracie as a dog caregiver with Rover. She watched my Bernese Mountain Dog Bailey while I was in the hospital giving birth to my son and she took exceptional care of him. She made sure to feed him on time each day as we instructed and took him on long walks 2-4 times a day. I will go to her fist the next time I need someone to watch Bailey.
Gracie is the best dog mom I know. She takes such wonderful care of her own and is in love with any animal she comes to meet. Her knowledge of how animals, esp dogs, should be treated and loved are exceptional. She is so hilarious and always like to make people around her feel happy. She is very respectful of anyone she comes in contact with, and is very trusting and responsible.

Schedule
I work for myself doing residential carpentry and remodeling, so my schedule is very flexible and I’m usually available for last minute bookings. I also never work very far from home.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog’s comfort and safety always come first. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and even the bed if that’s what they’re used to at home, and I have several dog beds set up around the house too. I also have a large crate available if your dog needs a quiet, secure space to settle into. I keep a close eye on dogs at all times, dog-proof the areas we’re in, and make sure fresh water is always available.
Pets
A typical day
I love keeping dogs active and mentally stimulated throughout the day. We’ll go on plenty of walks so they can sniff around and explore, play games, and if the weather’s nice I love taking dogs on hikes too. I make sure every dog gets individual attention and playtime, not just crated downtime.

- Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, quirks, or behaviors so I can plan ahead. I’m comfortable with high-energy and reactive dogs — I have a 70 lb Husky mix myself, so I understand escape artists and dogs that need extra exercise. My only limitation is around very small animals or cats in the same household, just due to prey drive concerns. Otherwise I’m flexible on breed, age, and temperament, and happy to accommodate special diets, medications, or routines.
