I work from home during normal business and have some flexibility during the day depending on the day. I can do overnight stays during the work-week, but need to discuss your pet’s daytime needs to make sure it’s a good fit.

I’m happy to give your dog the time and attention s/he needs to be as relaxed as possible while you’re away. Between having shy dogs of my own and volunteering at the animal shelter, I give dogs space and allow them time to sniff and warm up to me before we go out. I’ll take your lead as to things I need to know about what makes your dog’s personality shine.

I’d prefer to do a meet and greet to make sure I’m the right fit for your pup. I’d like to know any quirks, how they prefer to be leashed, if they have any specific spots to go to the bathroom, normal bathroom frequency on walks, where they should be left when I leave your home, and if they’re reactive to dogs (or humans) on walks. Please let me know if there are any behaviors I should be aware of with your dog and his/her likes or dislikes. Please let me know the most important things for you to be happy with my service - updates or anything else.
A typical day
I let them take the lead. Be it time sniffing on a walk to their nose’s content, playing with a ball, or watching the world go by in a yard, I’m flexible based on your pup.

Pet care experience
It was never quiet growing up with as many as four dogs in the house at a time (plus a cat, bird, hamster, turtles, geckos, and fish - and working at a local horse barn throughout high school and college). It’s not quiet now as my senior rescue dachshund loves to let you know when the mail lady has dared to leave a package on the porch. All that to say, I’m comfortable and have always been around a variety of pets. Since Dec. 2023, I’ve been a volunteer dog walker for Humane Animal Partners (HAP), in Rehoboth. There, I’ve walked countless dogs, ranging from ones who are ready to take on the world to ones who need to know you’ve got their back and need you to go slow. I have experience taking care of older dogs, my first rescue was 9 when I got him and my current rescue is 11 and a slow mover.

Graceanna is very responsible & friendly. I have a very shy dog that is a challenge. She did the best she could do for the few days she was here with her.
Our 2- pups did very well under Graceanna’s care ! It was her first time to stay with our pups and all went very well. I would not hesitate to use her to watch the dogs again.
Graceanna helped us out in a holiday pinch. She was friendly, professional and kept us updated on the animals with texts and photos. The dogs loved her and the cat even warmed up quickly! Highly recommend.
GRACEANNA did a great job looking after Lola and Aspen. They took to her quickly and I felt very comfortable leaving them in her care. She took very good care of both the dogs and our home. I would definitely use GRACEANNA again in the future.
