Pet care experience
Hi! I am a huge cat and dog lover and have been ever since I was a kid. In my care, your pet will receive the same amount of dedication, attention to detail, and love that I give to my own. CATS: I have extensive experience taking care of cats through rescue and foster work, and I have 2 adorable cats of my own, one of which I raised from kittenhood. In my spare time, I foster kittens throughout the year with a local rescue. I have a soft spot for befriending shy kitties and have a solid understanding of cat behavior. DOGS: I used to volunteer with a dog rescue in LA when I was in school, and have experience walking and spending time with dogs of all sizes and breeds (or mixes). When we go out on a walk, I can help minimize your pup’s interactions with potential distractions and stimuli such as small animals, other dogs, or other humans, if they are reactive to them. I currently have a senior dog of my own: she is an ancient pomeranian named Buttercup and she’s all floof and kisses. 🙂
Reviews
Grace took good care of our cats while we were away for the holidays. She was very punctual, sent timely updates, and kept me informed of our cats' well-being throughout our trip. It allowed us to enjoy our trip knowing our cats were in good hands!
Grace arrived on time, fed and hung out with my cat, sent me pictures and updates on how my cat was doing. Very happy with her visit!
Grace did a fabulous job taking care of our cat while we were away! She made sure to spend lots of time petting our very social and affectionate cat so that the cat didn’t miss us too much. She also did a great job with all the other stuff like kitty litter, feeding, and providing thorough summaries and reassuring photos. Highly recommend Grace!
Grace has always had a passion for taking care of animals, and she has been fostering cats for over 2 years. She consistently makes sure to incorporate vital strategies to reduce cat anxiety and to look after their wellbeing. From personal experience, I have also found that Grace was the best cat sitter that I could ever ask for. Grace did catsitting for me before she joined the Rover app, and she was communicative and compassionate. She went above and beyond doing all the necessary tasks of food, water and litter box duties. Although my senior cat also spat up several times around the house including on the carpet, she let me know about it and she cleaned it up so well that I couldn't tell at all when we returned. She even let me know that we were running out of his thyroid medication so that I was able to pick up more just in time so that he didn't miss any medication doses. She consistently puts the welfare and comfort of the pets first and foremost, and she has shown time and time again that she has what it takes to be a wonderful pet sitter.

Safety, trust & environment
As a sitter, trust and safety is important to me, so I will always aim to be communicative, responsive, and transparent. For drop ins and walks, I will always send pictures and/or videos of your pet at each visit unless you prefer otherwise. I will also write an update with each visit so that you are kept up to date with how your pet is doing (unless you prefer otherwise!)
Information Grace Y. would like to know about your pet
What I’d love to know about your pet: -Any triggers they have (Example: squirrels, loud noises, not liking to be pet in a particular place) -Any habits, especially the ones that aren’t great :) and what I can do to deter them should they happen -Their favorite things (Example: cheek rubs, a certain food, lots of playtime) -Any special needs or medication -How they act when their owner is not present. On a meet and greet, it is important to me to be able to see how they act when you are not there, because some pets may act very differently! -And anything else you think might be helpful for a successful stay!
A typical day
I hope to create a safe, calm, and fun environment for your pet when they are in my care. It is my biggest goal to establish a positive relationship with them, and this may mean spending time playing with their favorite toy, giving them a delicious snack, or just a nice snuggle and pets. I view drop ins as not only a chance to check up on them and refill their food bowl, but also a chance to spend some quality time together since being apart from their family can be stressful and lonely.
