“As a college student, pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine. My class schedule allows for flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. I prioritize time management, ensuring pets receive the attention, exercise, and care they need. Whether it’s a midday walk between classes, overnight pet sitting, or weekend check-ins, I make sure each pet gets the love and care they deserve. Caring for animals is not just a job for me- it’s a rewarding part of my life that I used to do daily with my family of 4 + 2 dogs, 3 horses, 3 cats and a lizard that brings balance and joy to my busy schedule.”

Information Grace S. would like to know about your pet
Yes, it’s essential to know a few key things about the pets I’m watching ahead of time to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being. 1. Feeding Instructions: What their feeding schedule, portion sizes, and any dietary restrictions. 2. Health Concerns: If the pet has any medical conditions, is on medication, or requires any special care (e.g., regular vet checkups, grooming needs, or any signs to watch out for in case they’re unwell). 3. Behavior and Temperament: To Learn about the pet’s personality. Are they social or shy? Do they have any specific fears or triggers (e.g., loud noises, unfamiliar people)? Some pets may need more patience and space than others and I want to make them comfortable from the start. 4. Exercise and Play Preferences: I want to know how active the pet is. If the dog/dogs need regular walks or play sessions, while cats might prefer solo activities or short interactive sessions, also what their favorite toy or games may be. 5. Potty Schedule: For dogs especially, it’s important to know their bathroom routine. To make sure I’m aware of when and where they need to go for potty breaks. If it’s a cat, learn about the litter box habits and cleaning needs. 6. Safety Precautions: Are there any areas of the house that should be off-limits that I would need to know ahead of time? Is there a need for pet-proofing (e.g., keeping small objects out of reach)? For outdoor pets, be aware of any escape routes or areas where they might get into trouble. 7. Emergency Contacts: Contact information for the pet’s veterinarian and the owner’s emergency number in case something unexpected happens. 8. Sleep Habits: Does the pet have a preferred sleeping spot? Some pets prefer their own space to rest, while others like to sleep near their people. 9. Grooming Needs: I would like to know if the pet requires regular grooming, nail trimming, or brushing. Some pets may enjoy this, while others might need a more gentle approach. 10. Travel and Car Rides: If I’m taking the pet out, how they feel about car rides or traveling. Some pets may get anxious or car sick, while others enjoy the ride. Sometimes pet owners prefer no travel other than in case of an emergency.

Activities we could enjoy together: 1. Interactive Playtime: If the pet enjoys toys, you can engage them with balls, laser pointers (for cats), tug-of-war (for dogs), or even puzzle toys to stimulate their mind. 2. Training Sessions: Teach them basic commands like sit, stay, or roll over. Praise & Positive reinforcement like treats can make it a fun bonding experience. 3. Outdoor Walks or Hikes: For dogs, especially, taking them for a walk or a hike can be a great way for us to get some fresh air and exercise. 4. Cuddling and Petting: If they enjoy being held or petted, some quiet bonding time on the couch can be soothing for both me and your pet. 5. Hide and Seek: Hide a treat or favorite toy and see if the pet can find it. It’s fun and helps sharpen their senses really helped prevent boredom. 6. Chase Games: For pets that love to run, you can play chase or fetch in a safe, open or enclosed space. 7. Reviews

Grace did a great job taking care of our home and our precious pup. It’s great to go away knowing your home and your pet is being well cared for.

Grace was such a great sitter and friend to Wrigley. She provided updates, photos, and videos. Having a senior dog it is hard for them to change their routine but Grace came to our home, did a meeting with Wrigley even before the days she was scheduled for. I cannot say enough positive things all I can guarantee is I would not let just anyone stay with my German Shepherd but Grace was perfect and I will definitely call on her again.
Grace was fantastic! I would highly recommend her for watching your pet and home!

Grace was great! She was responsive, sent videos and pictures, and made me feel comfortable. My dog got sick before we left town and she was sensitive and kind and gave extra attention. We will have her again the next time we go out of town.
