About Grace P.

Safety, trust & environment

If dogs aren’t listening I like to use what I call the Calm method. First we Clap to alter there attention, if that fails Aliment(food) try offering a treat for distraction. Treats are used for motivation until a deeper relationship and trust has developed then less treats are necessary. Third, Listen to what set the dog off and take action to prevent reoccurrence. And lastly Pause to take a moment to reset your energy and the dogs bring you both back to a calm state.

Information Grace P. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or particular behaviors that I would be happy to accommodate. My favorite dog breed is all of them (and shih-tzu)

A typical day

One of my favorite games to play with my own family dogs is hide and seek. Which is great for mental stimulation as well as physically tiring (more for human if the dog is really fast lol) . I also enjoy doing sprints/jogging, training with treats, and wrestling toys.

Who loves dogs?! I do!

Pet care experience

I’ve worked at two separate dog daycare’s. With three years experience indoors in a small facility and another three at an outdoor activity resort. I can confidently say I have experience with all types of breeds from big (Mastiff’s, German Shepherd’s, Golden, doodles) to small ( shih-tzu, Maltese’s, mini terrier, etc.) I managed and was responsible for meal times as well as distributing medication. I have personal and professional experience as a dog bather. Most importantly I love dogs and get a ridiculous amount of joy from their company.

Grace has a natural way with dogs. She has walked and groomed my two dogs many times and they just love her! She is great!
