Availability
I work from home and typically will have a few meetings scattered from 7am -5pm. Since my work is flexible, I can block off an hour or two during that time for dog-walking breaks. Before work and after work I'm absolutely happy to get those steps in for a long walk!

I care for my pets like my family! I am respectful of any household rules or boundaries. I can provide multiple walks and multiple meals per day. I try to leave the home as good (or better) than when I first arrived.
Information Grace P. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any behaviors to be aware of (pulling, reactions to other dogs, eating poop). I will do my best to accommodate any special needs dogs, I've worked with dogs who have been rehomed/trauma and it's helpful for me to be aware so I can better prepare for the dog's best experience. I’m happy to cuddle/sleep with dogs in the same room (or same bed) or keep dogs outside the bedroom, whatever is most preferred.
A typical day
I like to take dogs on long walks, play with toys, and cuddle. If it is allowed, I enjoy visiting dog parks and socializing with other dogs. I'm comfortable driving dogs in my car to see different surroundings, if allowed as well.

Pet care experience
Hello I’m Grace! I work remotely in tech as a design researcher but I’m on Rover simply because life is better when I get to spend time with dogs. I am experienced with all size dogs and activity levels. I walked for Wag for a few years during grad school and completed hundreds of walks and stays. I’m first aid and CPR trained and can administer medicine and work with elderly or special needs dogs. I have experience with all types of dog leashes. I had a dog growing up and I spent my high school years volunteering at the West Valley Animal Shelter (over 200 hrs). During house sittings I only attend to one household at a time so your dog will have my full attention. Hours of time for play and cuddles. I’m also happy to let your dog sleep in bed with me if that’s preferred too! In my spare time I'm an obstacle course racer, rock climber, canyoneer, and mountain climber (climbed Mt Whitney, Baldy, and some places in the Sierras recently). I can perform well in high stress, challenging situations where adaptability and problem solving is key. I also taught research part time in a masters degree program for 5 years. I’ve also become interested in dog psychology more recently and am learning more about it.
Reviews

Grace is the best! So attentive to Duke! Duke connected with her immediately. Such a blessing we found you grace!!!!

Grace is amazing! She took great care of my dog, he seemed so happy. She sent the right amount of updates and pictures and let me know about a power outage while I was away. Would definitely book her again!
Phenomenal across the board. Would book again in a heartbeat.

Grace is fantastic! She took my pup on great walks, and sent me tons of photos. I came home to a very happy and well cared for dog. Thank you grace!
