I am an Iowa state student. I have many days where I’m free or breaks in my schedule to allow me to check on animals or take them on walks.

In the clients home I follow whatever works best for the owner and their pet. If that means crating when being left alone that is what I do. If that means taking them on walks at a certain time or not allowing them in certain rooms or on furniture I make sure to always follow the rules set by the owner.

Let me know any medication beforehand. I have given injections, oral medications, ear drops, and eye drops, but I like to see how the owner does it first (especially injections). I don’t want to stress the animal out too much and owners know what works best with their pet. Please also let me know any specifics when it comes to eating, playing, or walking. Or, if the pet does not do well with a certain activity or with a certain animal.

I have taken care of animals, in and outside of vet clinics, since I was 14 years old. I’ve cared for a variety of animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, goats, chickens, and sheep. I’ve had many housesitting experiences outside of Rover and I’ve handled many responsibilities like monitoring and administering medications. My main goal is to keep the owner’s pets stress free and allow owners to leave their pets knowing they are being cared for.

We couldn’t be happier with the care Grace provided for our animals while we were away! From the very beginning, she was friendly, professional, and clearly experienced with animals. Whether it was feeding, potty breaks, playtime, or just keeping them company, everything was done with love and attention. We have a mix of pets with different needs, and Grace handled it all with ease. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us such peace of mind. It was so reassuring to know they were in such good hands. When we returned, our pets were happy, relaxed, and the house was spotless. We truly felt like Grace went above and beyond. We’ll absolutely be booking again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring animal sitter!

Grace has watched my pets several times, and has taken great care of them. She pays attention to all the details, like making sure they are eating ok, and acting themselves. She is attentive to making sure feeding times and let out times are consistent and gives them the individual time they each require daily. They never miss me when I leave them with her.
Grace is caring, responsible, and knowledgeable. Grace not only has experience having grown up with animals, but also from working at a veterinary office. She is extremely reliable and responsible. Your pet(s) will be well loved and cared for by her. She has watched my elderly beagle and he is always happy to see her and we are always at ease knowing he is well cared for.
