A typical day

Mornings start early in our house, with the sound of paws padding across the floor and a little voice calling, “Mummy!” Once everyone’s had their breakfast—two dogs fed, one small human sorted—we’re out the door by mid-morning for a good stretch of the legs. The dogs and I head to the woods for a proper adventure, usually a 60 to 90-minute walk. It's our time to blow away the cobwebs, let off steam, and enjoy the fresh air. Mildred trots along confidently while Olive bounds ahead, full of boxer puppy energy, sniffing every log and chasing leaves like it's her job. Once home, I swap walking boots for my grooming apron. I run my dog grooming business from home, so the rest of the day is usually a busy mix of shampoos, haircuts, nail clips, and lots of tail wags. The dogs have free roam of the downstairs, making themselves comfortable while I work. They enjoy regular toilet breaks throughout the day and often keep me company in the grooming area, snoozing nearby or watching with interest. Around 4–5pm, it's time for a second walk—this one a shorter 30 to 45-minute wander around the neighbourhood or to the local park. It helps the dogs unwind and gets us all moving again after a day at home. Then it’s back for dinner, cuddles, and winding down for the evening. It’s a lively, sometimes chaotic, but always love-filled household where the dogs are part of the family and every day brings a bit of mud, a lot of fur, and plenty of joy.

Experienced dog lover, walker and dog groomer!

Pet care experience

Hi, I'm Grace – a lifelong dog lover with a home full of wagging tails and happy paws! 🐾 Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is truly my passion. I’ve been professionally walking dogs for over 5 years and grooming them for the past 2 – and there’s nothing more rewarding than earning a dog’s trust and seeing them happy, relaxed, and tail-wagging at the end of a visit. Whether it’s a gentle walk, a playful adventure, or a pampering grooming session, I treat every dog as if they were my own. I understand that each pup has their own personality, quirks, and needs – and I pride myself on being patient, loving, and attentive to every one of them. I’m also fully trained in canine first aid, so you can feel confident knowing your dog is in safe, capable hands at all times. Your furry friend’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. You can count on me to provide updates, cuddles, and plenty of love while they’re in my care. 🐶

I can’t recommend Grace enough! She clearly has a lot of experience with dogs and it really shows in the way she handles everything with ease and confidence. My pup felt completely comfortable and well cared for, which gave me total peace of mind. On top of that, she was incredibly flexible with scheduling and always kind and thoughtful in her communication. If you’re looking for someone reliable, compassionate, and truly great with dogs, Grace is the one!
