I work at a bank so my hours are pretty standard, I am around on the weekends and would be available at times similar to most in that regard, so your pets’ routine would be safe.

Since i have a dog and cat of my own, I don’t plan on boarding, and I do believe that your pet staying in their own environment is helpful to them while you are away, but I am familiar with pet care in both homes and apartments and the needs for each.

It is important to know ahead of time what kind of attention the pup likes - do they prefer to be pet or to be engaged with games ? It is good to know their preference for greeting when I first see them what helps to calm nerves and excitement that dogs often have when someone first arrives in their space.
A typical day
I typically try to keep dogs in places they are comfortable and familiar with; whatever walking paths or parks are nearby or that I know for sure they are comfortable. Being apart from their person can be hard enough, I like to provide as much familiarity as possible by sticking to routines and giving extra attention and play time.

My family always had dogs, I now have graduated college and have a dog and a cat I care for daily and love very much. Pets deserve to stay as comfortable as possible while you are away, letting them stay in their home helps decrease their anxiety so much when their families are out.
