I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. My family has always had at least one dog in the home. When I was 13 I got my own dog who I took full responsibility in caring for. I have also pet sat for several other pets in the neighborhood. I have always been very responsible. I promise your dog will be well taken care of!

At home, I take my dog out to potty 4 times a day. I also make one of those breaks a longer walk to make sure my dog is getting appropriate exercise. My dog is pretty low energy, but I still like to give her things like lick mats for some added mental stimulation. My mom’s dog is much higher energy. Every time I home I always make sure to give her extra training sessions for mental stimulation. I also love taking her to the park to go swimming in the lake. My mom’s dog is very reactive, I am trying to train her to focus on me instead of other dogs through positive reinforcement.

Schedule
I work around my schedule so my dog is well taken care of. I incorporate frequent potty breaks and one longer walk each day to ensure my dog is getting enough exercise. I like to incorporate forms of mental stimulation daily so my pet is never bored. I typically use toys like lick mats or roll treats in an old towel for a DIY enrichment toy. For me, getting to hangout with dogs is well worth the extra commitment and effort to ensure they are happy and healthy.
