Safety, trust & environment
I try to keep the animals routine the same. This includes regular feeding times, walking times and bedtimes if applicable. I am comfortable handling any animal of any size. I also understand the importance of catering to animals dietary requirements and will adhere to any specifications. I am also comfortable with animals of any age, and will adjust my care to their needs (e.g. shorter walks for an older dog and longer ones for a puppy).
Information Grace F. would like to know about your pet
Things I need to know: -Your pet’s usual schedule (what times do they usually go for walks/ get fed) -Do they have any allergies on intolerances? -Do they require specific hypoallergenic food? -Are they okay with other animals? -A bit about their personality. -What age is your pet and do they require any special accommodations due to this (e.g. shorter walks) -What tricks do they know? (so they can get treats when required!) -What commands do they respond to? -For cats are they outdoor or indoor? -Is there anything else you feel you need to tell me about your pet?
A typical day
I love to continually stimulate the animals mind. For example for a dog, when not on walks I will play with them and provide them with puzzles for treats. An example of this is tying treats tightly in a towel and letting them unravel it. This is amazing for a dogs mind. For cats I will give them as much love and attention as they would like, whether that’s continually playing for hours on end or just leaving them to sleep in peace.

Pet care experience
To get into veterinary school in the UK as much work experience as possible is required. My experience is listed below: Matlock Farm Park May 2024- July 2024 • I looked after many animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoises, sheep, cows, goats, ferrets etc • My main tasks included showcasing events for customers, caring for the animals, preparing food for animals and accommodating for any dietary requirements, providing water, cleaning pens and interacting with customers. • I am comfortable handling all animals. • I was required to manage my time effectively, so all my tasks were completed. • I memorised the layout of the farm to direct and help visitors when they need it. Thornberry animal sanctuary February 2024- July 2024 • I volunteered at the animal sanctuary, working with mostly cats, dogs and rabbits. • My tasks included cleaning animal pens, walking dogs, spending time with the animals, socialising timid animals, feeding the animals and general upkeep of the sanctuary. • I sometimes shadowed the veterinarian on site and view the work they do. • I was required to perform adequate time management as I could go whenever is suitable for me and help wherever I was needed Netherlands Boarding and Rescue Kennels - Rotherham February 2021 to July 2024 • I walked dogs from a rescue shelter • Was initially part of my bronze Duke of Edinburgh award but l occasionally work for them now as and when they need assistance. • Requires a high level of maturity and the ability to manage dogs of all sizes and behaviours. Rotherham June 2022 - July 2024 • Pet sitting for family, friends, and residents. • I walked the pets, fed them, and most importantly maintained the pet's routine. • I stayed at the owner's home for anywhere between a few hours and a few days, caring for their animal. • This requires maturity and communication skills to ensure the owner of the animal is comfortable with leaving them in my care.

Reviews

Grace is a fantastic cat and flat sitter and I would highly recommend booking her to other cat owners. She was great at communicating with us whilst we were away, and we came back to a very happy cat :)

Grace was really nice, patient and understanding with our, at times anxious dog Toshko. She is also very reliable and we would highly recommend her to anyone who needs their dog looked after! Thank you, Grace!
Grace was fantastic and Molly took to her immediately. She is a really calm person and caring about all animals. Molly looked to be having a lovely time in all the photos from the day. Thanks Grace, Molly has had a great day and we appreciated knowing she was in such good hands , Sarah

Grace was a great pet sitter, took time to give attention to our cat and feed him. We came back and he was very relaxed. 100% recommend, thanks Grace :)
