Safety, trust & environment

I always find it helpful to have an initial chat with new clients so we can build rapport and trust your pet’s care is something I take seriously, and it’s important that you feel confident entrusting them to me. Before any booking, I ask for clear instructions on your pet’s preferences, routines, likes and dislikes, and any potential risks. Pets are our family, and just like children, they can be wonderfully unpredictable, so the more I know, the better I can support them! I’m committed to creating a calm, safe environment and giving your pet the best experience possible, whether it’s for a quick visit or a longer stay.

Pet care experience

I’m a devoted dog parent to an 12 year old dachshund and lifelong dog lover. My camera roll is about 98% dogs, so you can count on plenty of adorable “pup”-dates to know your pet it in good hands! Alongside caring for (and admittedly spoiling) my own dog, who is currently back in my home city, I previously worked at Doggy Paddle, a canine leisure swimming and hydrotherapy centre focused on dog wellbeing. Through this role, I gained hands‑on experience supporting dogs of all ages, temperaments, and mobility levels. I also have training in canine first aid and behaviour, which I hope can provide reassurance to you and your furry companion, as it has to many friends I have pet-sat for in the past! As a postgraduate student, I spend a lot of time studying, so getting outdoors with your dog is the perfect balance for me. I love to explore the different green spaces and walks that Edinburgh has to offer, with the beautiful water of Leith on my doorstep and the opportunity to drive to other walks should you and your pet be happy for me to. Whether it’s rain or shine, I’m committed to making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for.

I have known Grace for a number of years. She is a wonderful caring individual and has a big heart. She worked for us for a couple of years swimming dogs for exercise and hydrotherapy. The dogs loved her.

Grace is a kind, generous and conscientious young lady who has a love of animals, particularly dogs of all kind. She seems to have a real affinity with dogs and is always looking after their welfare and thinking of ways to help, stimulate and support dogs of all ages. She has had experience of looking after other dogs, through dog sitting in their family home as well as taking other dogs out for walks etc. She is experienced in looking after her own dog from puppy to old age. Grace is enthusiastic, reliable and responsible, being mindful of safety too.
