I grew up with dogs and volunteer with PAWS (a non-profit taking care of pets for bed-ridden elderly folks so they can keep their best friends at home with them)! I’ve worked with elderly dogs, shy dogs, hyperactive puppies, and moody cats. I’m lucky enough to work from home, which means I have access to time during the day where most people don’t. Let me free up some of your time by taking care of your fur baby so you can focus on work, childcare, errands, etc! I live a fairly active lifestyle, so anything from a walk to a run is right in my wheelhouse.

Through PAWS, I’m used to entering client homes, feeding their pets, refilling water bowls, and taking the dogs out for walks. I take care to avoid staying out in the heat or the cold for too long since NYC weather can get brutal!

Grace handled my dog very well for her afternoon walk. She was kind and professional. Would be glad to have her walk Luna again!
On two occasions I have asked Grace to catsit for extended periods of time, and also had the chance to observe them interacting with my cats for a few weeks. Being respectful towards my cats’ boundaries, Grace was able to approach them in a way that quickly earned their trust. When the cats would resort to the usual disruptive begging for snacks via pawing, headbutting and reaching for attention, Grace was still able to hold their ground and follow the instructions I left patiently down to the smallest details. The speed at which Grace was able to pick up the subtle things that my cats liked was also a welcome plus! The cats were showered with affection and fully enjoyed Grace’s company.
When Grace volunteered in an elderly-visiting program, they befriended the senior woman they were assigned to, as well as her elderly dog, Tina. Grace quickly became Tina's new best friend - Grace was patient with her, showed up consistently, and was always full of encouragement. Grace was firm when necessary, but always tender and understanding of Tina's sometimes cantankerous attitude. Grace often helps walk and play with my own energetic puppy, Rocky. Grace runs with Rocky, helps clean up after him, and plays with him for hours (which is no easy feat). Grace has a genuine love and respect for dogs, coupled with an organized and responsible mindset. They are a great choice to be your dogs new friend and part-time caretaker.

Schedule
I work from home most days so I can walk your pets or drop in anytime during the day or evening. Weekends I’m pretty flexible so connect with me and we can work out a schedule!
