Pet care is a natural and consistent part of my daily routine. I structure my schedule to prioritize the needs of the pets in my care, including regular walks, feeding times, play, and enrichment. Because of my background in animal science and experience with dog sports and shows, I’m very used to maintaining structured routines and adapting to each dog’s individual needs—whether that’s high-energy exercise, training reinforcement, or a calm, predictable environment. I’m flexible throughout the week and make sure I have the availability to give each pet the time, attention, and consistency they deserve.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety, trust, and a calm environment are my top priorities in both my home and my client’s home. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I aim to keep their routine as consistent as possible to reduce stress. I follow all instructions closely—feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any household preferences—while keeping the environment clean, secure, and respectful. I’m very mindful of doors, gates, and potential hazards to ensure pets stay safe at all times. In my home, I provide a structured, low-stress environment with plenty of supervision, enrichment, and rest. Dogs are never left unattended in unsafe situations, and I carefully manage introductions and interactions if other dogs are present. Cleanliness, secure spaces, and routine are always maintained. With my background in animal science, dog sports, and grooming, I’m very attentive to behavior, body language, and overall wellbeing, allowing me to respond quickly to each pet’s needs and keep them comfortable, safe, and happy.

Information Grace B. would like to know about your pet

To provide the best care, I need to know your pet’s specific needs and quirks ahead of time. Most importantly, please let me know about any resource guarding, reactivity, aggression, and if your pet is intact. Reactive or shy pets are absolutely welcome—this information just helps me create a safe, comfortable, and positive environment tailored to your pet. The more I know, the better I can keep them happy, relaxed, and well cared for.

A typical day

A typical day is structured around keeping your pet happy, fulfilled, and relaxed while maintaining their normal routine. We’ll start with a walk or potty break, followed by breakfast and a calm settling period. Throughout the day, I incorporate enrichment activities focused on decompression—such as sniff walks, puzzle toys, or quiet engagement—to help your dog relax and feel mentally satisfied. I also include basic manners refreshers in a low-pressure, positive way (like reinforcing polite leash walking, sits, and calm behaviors), depending on your dog’s needs and what you’re comfortable with. Supervised playtime is always part of the day as well, whether that’s one-on-one play, structured games, or appropriate social time. I balance activity with plenty of rest to avoid overstimulation and keep your pet feeling secure. Every day is tailored to your pet’s personality—whether they’re active and playful or more laid-back and cuddly—so they come home happy, calm, and well cared for.

Pet Care by Animal Science MS

Pet care experience

🐾 Hi, I’m your dog’s new favorite human! I’m a reliable, attentive, and animal-loving sitter who treats every pup like my own. Whether your dog is full of energy and loves long walks, or prefers cozy naps and gentle company, I tailor my care to fit their personality and routine. I hold a Master’s degree in Animal Science with a focus on canine and feline care, and I have hands-on experience in dog shows and dog sports. This means I’m comfortable working with everything from high-energy, well-trained performance dogs to everyday companions who just want love and consistency. I also have experience with both basic pet grooming and show dog grooming, so I pay close attention to coat care, cleanliness, and overall presentation. I’m experienced with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, and I’m comfortable administering basic medications, sticking to feeding schedules, and maintaining routines. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. Safety, trust, and lots of tail wags are my top priorities. I can’t wait to meet your furry family member! 🐶💛

Molly had a great time with Grace and Clifford! She was attentive and sent many photo updates which gave us peace while we were away. A great first experience.

Grace is one of the kindest and most patient people I've ever met. She gives each animal the unique attention it needs. It doesn't matter if you have a hyperactive youngster eager for adventure or an elderly soul just looking for a casual stroll. She finds a way for each dog to get outside and completely enjoy the great outdoors. I trust her to take care of any and all of my animals. I know they are being treated in the exact same manner I would treat them - loved beyond belief and spoiled with attention.

Grace is the best with all animals! I don’t trust a lot of people with my fur babies but would definitely recommend Grace and use her! She treats them as if they are her own. She is reliable and dependable and will love your babies like she does her own. Cant recommend Grace enough!

Grace is responsible, understanding, and kind! I am super picky about who to entrust my dogs to, but I would absolutely trust her with my girls any time. Grace is incredible with animals and definitely a go to for pet care, you won’t have to worry about your pets while you’re away, rest assured that she’s got it covered, and your pups will be more than well taken care of!
