If I am caring for a dog then I make sure that they get plenty of exercise with a walk and being let outside. I also follow the directions of the client if they need to be crated or if a portion of the house is off limits to the pet. For cats I will make sure that they are fed and that the litter box is clean and anything additional the client is looking for.

Before watching a pet, it’s important for me to know their routine, personality, and any special needs so I can provide the best care possible. I like to know their feeding schedule, favorite activities, energy level, bathroom routine, medications, allergies, and whether they get along with other animals or people. It’s also helpful to know about any fears, behaviors, or habits they may have, such as anxiety during storms, leash pulling, or hiding spots. My goal is to make pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible.
A typical day
I love keeping pets active, engaged, and happy while their owners are away. Depending on the pet’s personality and energy level, I enjoy going on walks, playing fetch, using interactive toys, giving plenty of attention, and spending quality playtime together. For cats, I enjoy using teaser toys, laser pointers, and creating calm, comforting companionship. I also make sure pets stick to their normal routines so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
