Availability
With both of us at home, we can offer more flexibility and personal attention than a lone sitter or a boarding kennel. Dogs are not expected to be alone for hours. We are happy to schedule — agreed in advance — for you to pick up your dog for visits with no charge. The opportunity to include your pup on hikes or other activities makes for a memorable family vacation on the Cape.

We think it is important to discuss expectations. Our goal is to provide your pets with an experience similar to being at their own home. While we always put safety first, there are adjustments we can make to maximize comfort levels for everyone involved.

Information Glenn & Kirsten K. would like to know about your pet
Flea and tick protection is required. Separation anxiety must be discussed if it is a known issue (along with any related treatments or coping methods). We need information about medical issues, feeding schedule, restrictions and mobility concerns. For example, can your dog navigate a full flight of uncarpeted wood stairs? Let us know if it is pup’s first time away from home — we can work together to make it a good experience!
A typical day
We follow your requested schedule of feeding times/restrictions and outdoor breaks. Activities can include neighborhood walks, play time in the backyard and cuddle time on the couch.

Pet care experience
We have over 30 years experience caring for pets. Adopting rescue/adult dogs taught us to adjust care to different personalities. We miss our dogs but enjoy providing a needed service. We are limited to daycare and short-term (2-3 day) stays while our new cat adjusts to indoor life. Ducky is very gentle with people but cautious of dogs. For safety, dogs are always supervised outside and never let off leash. We only host ONE dog client at a time. However, multiple pets from the same household are welcome. Our home provides a half acre yard with access to a quiet neighborhood for longer walks. Pups are welcome on furniture/beds unless that is against your rules. We have spare dog beds, bowls, towels, small treats to reinforce good behavior, air conditioning, poop bags, etc. No worries if you forget to pack something. For Overnight Stays: Drop-off and final day pick-up times should be within a 24 hour cycle or an additional fee may apply for the extra hours (see booking rates). In person meet and greets are required for dogs with no previous rover experience. Of course, meeting up locally when possible is a plus for everyone. Our resident tabby cat Ducky enjoys a separate area when we host dogs. We are mindful she deserves to feel safe so we decline dogs that may intimidate her. She was rescued on the CCRT (rail trail) when she approached a person walking their dog, but we aren’t sure if she has other experience with dogs.
Reviews

Glenn & Kirsten took great care of Saffie!

My dog Nugget bordered with Glenn and Kirstin for two nights .They were great with Nuggie. He seemed right at home with them from the very first day. They kept in touch with me and sent me photos of him “settling in”. I had been worried because he had never bordered before and he’s a little skittish. (he’s a Chihuahua), but he seemed right at home in their place. Kirstin seemed especially loving towards him as he was cuddling on her lap when I arrived to pick him up! I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them!

Copper had a great visit with Glenn and Kirsten!! Highly appreciated the picture updates we received. Will definitely use them again!

Glenn and Kirsten were wonderful hosts for our little dude. We knew he was in good hands when we met. They sent us regular check-ins with pictures so we would know our pup was happy and secure. Thank you! We definitely recommend!
